It’s official: in a livestreamed event today, Ubisoft unveiled their newest Ghost Recon title, Breakpoint. As indicated by previous leaks, Breakpoint serves as a direct sequel to 2017’s Wildlands, letting players once again control Ghost team leader Major Anthony "Tony" Perryman, aka Nomad, in open-world, cooperative combat.

This time, the setting is Auroa, a fictional island owned by the CEO of a drone and artificial intelligence company. Players will traverse through its mountains and forests to take on Operation Oracle DLC’s Cole D. Walker (played by actor Jon Bernthal), an ex-Ghost who presumably knows all the team’s tricks.

Four classes will be available at launch for players to mix up their gameplay experience, with more to come at a later date. The game will release on October 4, 2019.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost® Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter set in a diverse, hostile, and mysterious open world that you can play entirely solo or in four-player co-op. Injured, without support, and hunted down by ex-Ghosts, you must fight to survive while lost in Auroa. Choose the right alliances and decide how to take down your toughest enemy.

I never knew Nomad had an actual name. Or is this new?
