    Yea you are right for the non hearing impaired this IS hacking and it will be used in that way. BUT... it seems it would be easy enough via software to disable the lights if you have functional sound. Then it's either no sound and lights or no lights and sound.

    I think you might have some failing hardware/drive going on. Motherboard/drive/CPU are all possible even ram. Have you tried running on one stick to see what that gets you?

    Oh yea I got my wife one of the M processor ipad airs. she's been loving that upgrade from her old one. My son doesn't PC game. and I'm the one big PC user in the home with my personal desktop, laptop, and work laptop.

    It's not for me but different cpus as starting points. I'm looking at the 9950x3d. But... your 7800x3d will require new motherboard and ram so don't forget that.

    Watched the video in the linked article. I am all for this. Would be nice for smart glasses to offer a similar function for the deaf as well.
