God of War Laufey Revealed, and PC Players Are Almost Certainly Locked Out

I honestly have no clue how much RAM is in any of the consoles. That was never a selling point. It was all about the games (and the fact that the PS3 was the cheapest bluray movie player on the market). But that was before Sony betrayed me twice. First they said, no our exclusives will never be...

God of War Laufey Revealed, and PC Players Are Almost Certainly Locked Out

Sure building a PC might have become a game in itself, but it all started with gaming, without that motivation doubt anyone would've gotten involved with PC building as a hobby.

God of War Laufey Revealed, and PC Players Are Almost Certainly Locked Out

No, boycotts never worked. It's just trying to get other people to not buy a product because of your grievances. Backlash however works, because everyone involved is invested in the grievance. Scalpers are a symptom of scarcity, not the problem itself. If scalpers didn't exist you'd still not...

God of War Laufey Revealed, and PC Players Are Almost Certainly Locked Out

If a company pisses me off, then I make a point of not buying their products. I never heard of anyone running to buy the company's product that they just got backstabbed by.

God of War Laufey Revealed, and PC Players Are Almost Certainly Locked Out

Oh, how in the world will I cope with missing out on yet another "a woman did it all along" retcon?

The 2026 Game Thread: You Will Own Nothing and Be Happy Edition

I thought Shadow was the weakest part of the series. My favorite is Rise, although the first one is slightly more engaging in storytelling. My gripes with Shadow are numerous: Feels rushed The game world feels small in scope compared to previous games You're not allowed to use most outfits...

The Witcher 3 Is Getting Another Content Expansion in 2027 with Songs of the Past

I don't like going back to old saves, once I'm done with them. I'd rather experience new content with a clean slate than with all the baggage from a playthrough done years ago.

The Witcher 3 Is Getting Another Content Expansion in 2027 with Songs of the Past

Isn't the Witcher 4 supposed to be out by then? Or is this the cryptic announcement of that being delayed to 2028?

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

Retaining consistency for minutes - well that's tiktok covered :D But seriously even if it can be improved to the point where every inference gives 100% consistent results forever, the compute cost is too much. It's much more practical and feasible to generate a static world using AI that then...

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

The way how AI works currently this is impossible. Unless you want the same room to look completely differently each time you go back to it. AI video generators are barely able to keep coherence within one inference. Barely meaning with tons of tricks and hooks you might be able to limit the...

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

Great, then why didn't you post what you asked them and the answers? 60% was just an example to demonstrate that you can sharply increase market share while still loosing revenue if the market shrinks. I didn't mean the gaming GPU market actually shrank by 60%, although it wouldn't surprise me...

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

90% of the market that shrunk by 60% mind you.. That's still line go down, and investors are allergic to line going down. Plus I bet they are a bit embarrassed by the fact that they pulled the ladder up from gamers after climbing over our backs to the top.

007 First Light Gets Official Launch Trailer Ahead of Its May 27 Release

Basically yes, the typical: "We want the name recognition and built in audience but otherwise hate everything about the character." My name is Cuck, James Cuck. That said, I never considered Craig to be a James Bond either.

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

nvidia won't allow that, I'm sure there are clauses against reselling the GPUs that nvidia fronted for you in the first place. I've seen a bunch of videos on nvidia's shenanigans recently and some even alleged that nvidia makes contracts to buy back any excess compute capacity.

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

It's simpler than that. Gaming revenue is crashing and they don't want to spook investors with it, so they folded it into "other" category to hide it.

NVIDIA Rolls GeForce Gaming Products into “Edge Computing” Category for Financials, Now Attributes to Less than 8% of Overall Revenue

Meh, this is so misleading. nvidia is artificially propping up the AI bubble. It is not sustainable. AI data centers are a money pit, there is no profit in it. They are just leveraging hype to make line go up. nvidia invests into ai companies to make them buy gpus, from nvidia, they are...

007 First Light Gets Official Launch Trailer Ahead of Its May 27 Release

From what I've seen the game seems to be a splinter cell type stealth / infiltration type game, which is good. However my excitement is sullied when they make comments about how this will be a james bond adhering to modern sensibilities because the old bond, that's a "sexist dinosaur" -which is...
