According to Anandtech: https://www.anandtech.com/show/15062/amds-2019-fall-update

The short version of today’s announcement revolves around several parts, in completely different markets.

  • The Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core CPU for desktops
  • Ryzen Threadripper 3rd Gen Family: Starting with the 24-core 3960X and 32-core 3970X
  • New TRX40 motherboards for the new Threadripper Processors
  • A new $49 Athlon 3000G for the entry level market
All of this hardware is set to come to market through the month of November at the following dates:
  • Ryzen 9 3950X: Reviews on November 14, Retail on November 25
  • TR 3960X and TR 3970X on November 25th
  • TRX40 motherboards on November 25th
  • Athlon 3000G on November 19th

Well, we knew it would be. The 3900X dominated Intel in all but one area and wasn't all that far behind in that one. A 16c/32t 3950X would only extend that lead further, especially given its supposed to have even higher single-core boost clocks.

Now I just gotta save up the $$ to buy one... I don't need more than 24 PCI lanes, and an upgrade to X570 doesn't seem out of the question either. Are plans for more 570X motherboard reviews in the works here?

Yes! Actually I have another on the way. You will be seeing quite a few board reviews in the near future. I've just had so much processor related content to get through. We've got a Z390 on the bench now with X299 and X570 boards inbound.
