Consider yourself lucky if you managed to bag a Ryzen 9 3900X ahead of time. AMD's 12C/24T CPU is getting more and more expensive, with its $500 MSRP rising to $579.99 at Newegg, $569.99 at Amazon and Micro Center, and $529.99 at B&H Photo Video.

That's as much as a 16% increase. Sales from individuals and smaller sellers are even more disturbing, with price gouging reaching full effect over at Amazon's marketplace: listings start at $700 and peaking at $1000.

Either the retailers are increasing their prices to take advantage of the high demand and very low supply, or AMD has secretly raised the MSRP for the Ryzen 9 3900X. Historically, AMD hasn't always publicly announced pricing updates for its products. When it does, it's usually a price cut.

So like everything? I mean look at 2080tis and before Zen the BD-E and HW-E Hedt cpus were gouged at times. Blame retailer games.
