ASUS Offers Free Fix for Improperly Cooled ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700-Series Graphics Cards

ASUS has posted a PSA regarding its lineup of ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards. For a couple of months now, users have been complaining about how the GPU doesn’t cool right due to poorly sized screws, which prevent proper contact between the card and cooler.



ASUS is remedying that situation with a mounting-screw upgrade for ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 owners. Starting in March, users can send their cards in and get them fixed for free.

Seems like there were more AIBs than normal dropping the ball on the RX 5700 cards. MSI (Evoke), XFX (THICC II), and now ASUS are the ones that come to my mind.

With that said, I don't think MSI has offered free fixes for their Evoke GPUs.
