Battlefield fans who wish to own all of DICE's acclaimed shooters may need to make some purchases soon. According to an article on the official Battlefield site, EA will be removing Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from digital storefronts on April 28, 2023, a date after which they'll no longer be available to purchase. EA explained that it is doing this to prepare for the retirement of their online services, and while that's set to occur on December 8, 2023, Bad Company 1 and 2 players can continue to enjoy their offline features afterward, including their single-player campaigns. The multiplayer-only Battlefield 1943 was released in 2009, while Battlefield: Bad Company and its sequel were released in 2008 and 2010, respectively.
