Hi, all,
GN posted a 15-year anniversary story in the old Hyper 212 with new benchmarks for 2022 and since I'm sure a lot of us have stories about them I thought I'd make a thread for it.
I've personally used them in 2 builds, one of which is still in use, the 4930K rig that will be retired in a year or so, and ultimately had them for over 10 years. I finally set the 4930K to push/pull about a year ago which did help a little in terms of temps. I was always amazed at how well these coolers could work and even more so that they've stood the test of time. I've only recently, with the 5800X3D, reached a point where I had to switch to an AIO and there's no going back now since it's becoming more common for CPU-intensive needs for gaming but those last 10+ years with the 212s was fun!
Edit: This thread doesn't have to just be about 212s as I'm well aware there are other air coolers of legendary status for longevity and performance.
