The MSI 2080TI Trio was a real close 2nd choice for me when I was researching the RTX 2080TI behemoths. I figured if I was going to go all out with spending I might as well pick one of the ones reviewed with the fastest clocks and best cooling solution. It ended up being a toss up between the Strix and the Trio for me and at the time the Trio was sold out. One of the things I liked about the Trio was that it had a custom PCB with 3 power connectors, 2x 8 pin and 1x 6 pin, along with a custom BIOS to allow a slight increase in power usage. Seems like all you need beyond that to get those clocks even higher is even better cooling. Enter the EK Waterblock for the MSI Trio. I have to give credit to Guru3d, https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/k...h-a-water-block-for-msi-rtx-2080-ti-trio.html, for being where I first saw this but posting a link to EK as well. https://www.ekwb.com/news/ek-expands-classic-line-with-a-water-block-for-msi-rtx-2080-ti-trio/

"This water block directly cools the GPU, 11GB of GDDR6 memory, and VRM (voltage regulation module) as cooling liquid is channeled directly over these critical areas. EK-FC Trio RTX 2080 Ti Classic RGB water block features a central inlet split-flow cooling engine design for best possible cooling performance, which also works flawlessly with reversed water flow without adversely affecting the cooling performance. This kind of efficient cooling will allow your high-end graphics card to reach higher boost clocks, thus providing more performance during gaming or other GPU intense tasks. Moreover, such design offers great hydraulic performance allowing this product to be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps."
