Following its announcement in January, ENERMAX has launched its new REVOLUTION ATX 3.0 power supplies that are available in two models. Both the 1000W and 1200W models are 80 PLUS Gold certified, fully modular, and come with a single 12+4 pin and dual 8-pin to 12+4 pin 12VHPWR cable. Circuit protections include OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, and OTP. A 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan provides semi-fanless 0 dBa operation, via a button next to the power switch, until the power draw exceeds 30% of the power supply. Featuring Japanese electrolytic capacitors with up to 92% efficiency they can reach up to 200% power excursion and reach up to 60% - 70% efficiency during low loading.

These ENERMAX REVOLUTION ATX 3.0 PCIe 5.0 power supplies are available at ENERMAX's store page, or Newegg for $229.99 (1000W) or $249.99 (1200W). Other included cables are 1x 20+4 pin motherboard, 2x CPU 4+4, 12x SATA, 4x PCIe 6+2, 4x Molex 4P, 1x FDD.

If you are buying 1000+ watt gold or less certified power supplies you are burning money.

If you're buying 1000+ Watts spend the money on higher efficiency ratings. It makes a distinct difference to power draw and your UPS and everything else.

I do find it interesting that they provide 2x 12VHPWR cables though. One for a straight connection to one card and then the other with 2x 8-pin connectors to connect to the PSU but then to connect another NV card that has the 12VHPWR connector. I think this might be the 1st time I've heard of a PSU manufacturer offering that. The downside with the 2x 8-pin is that you're obviously limited to a moderately or low-powered card, which makes sense for the 1000W model but the 1200W could probably support more depending on what the user has. The flipside though is how many people are even going to try to have 2 cards these days?
