Halo: Combat Evolved, the first-person shooter from Bungie that put the original Xbox on the map and helped Microsoft become a major player in the console wars, will be coming back as part of a new remaster, according to a new report today that discusses what's next for Xbox and Halo.

There was already a f*cking remaster, it's called the Anniversary edition, which came out for X360 before be included as part of Halo MCC on XB1 and PC. At first the game industry was getting ridiculous with all the remasters. But now we have hit the point where games are getting remastered AGAIN, or remasters are getting remastered. Is Xzibit running the video game industry now?

Honestly, I'm all for it. The remaster looks ****ing dated now. It's still a great game and there is nothing wrong with bringing it up to modern visual standards provided that they do it with the same care and quality that was done the first time.

*SIGH* I do suppose you're right.

I still find it pleasing enough, a very interesting change of pace from the original graphics, not just cuz of the superior assets, but also due to changes to the art-style and look of the environments. The same rooms can have a different mood/atmosphere between the two sets of graphics. It was an interesting change of pace, especially for those of us who already spent too much time with the original. But I guess there's nothing wrong with making yet another set of graphics and art assets for the game. I assume they will charge us for it though. Gotta buy Halo 1 yet again. Make it a free update for Halo MCC I say.
