343 Industries could be the latest FPS developer to hop on the battle royale bandwagon. As spotted by a user on the ResetEra forums, data miners who have dug deep into the files for Halo Infinite’s ongoing technical multiplayer preview have uploaded a voice clip of the classic Halo announcer saying “battle royale.” The implication, of course, is that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer could include some sort of battle royale game mode. Similar to Call of Duty: Warzone and other games that leverage this type of crowded gameplay, Halo Infinite’s battle royale mode would presumably let players suit up as Spartans and take on countless other cybernetically enhanced soldiers on a big map until there’s only one left standing.
