OpenAI Launches Free ChatGPT App for iOS, Android Version Coming Soon

Cheating on a test or winging a speech may have gotten a lot easier for Apple users, as OpenAI has begun rolling out a ChatGPT app for iOS, bringing its generative AI tool to smartphones for the very first time. Similar to the desktop version, the iOS counterpart is free to use and offers the same great versatility, including the ability to generate answers to questions that may or may not be correct instantly, although paid Plus subscriptions are also supported for those who want access to the newer GPT-4 model. The ChatGPT app also syncs history across devices and supports voice input via Whisper, OpenAI's open-source speech-recognition system. OpenAI has promised that an Android version will be coming soon.
