Generally I agree, but not all have turned out as trash. I didn't play the remakes of RE2 and 3 (nor did I play the originals), but I heard they turned out really great. As for me, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy were f*cking awesome. The remake of CB1 in the N. Sane Trilogy is way better than the original game. The 2011 version of Sonic CD done by Christian Whitehead and running on his Retro Engine is also way the f*ck better than the original. Black Mesa is a stunning example of a remake absolutely decimating the original game. Just a few examples.
