I remember a long time ago when my video card had as much or more memory than my PC. I was like dang I wish I could use that for system memory or something when not gaming.

I can't. Closest I can remember is the GeForce4 Ti 4200 I had with 128MB and running 256MB of system memory, which was upgraded to 512MB in short order. First PC I built had a GeForce2 MX 200 with 32MB with 128MB of system memory.

For a while I had dual 8 meg Voodoo II cards with 8mb of system memory. I upgraded to 16 meg though after a while.
