"Code complete: systems online." Prime Matter has announced that System Shock, Nightdive's ambitious remake of LookingGlass' 1994 action-adventure classic, has gone gold and is ready for digital release on May 30, 2023 for Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Developed alongside many members of the original team, including the voice of SHODAN herself, Terri Brosius, System Shock promises to deliver the same great gameplay as the original but with a number of modern upgrades, including HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface, never-before-seen enemies, and more. The PC edition of System Shock, which includes a free copy of the upcoming System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, is available to pre-order now, while the console editions of System Shock will release on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X in "due course."

This should be interesting to see. I gave the original a try many moons ago and it just wasn't for me at the time.
