The PC port for The Last of Us Part II Remastered, a definitive version of Naughty Dog's original post-apocalyptic sequel that drew substantial controversy upon its release by the way some of its characters were handled, has actually been finished since "at least" November 2023 but is being held back, possibly to coincide with the season two premiere of The Last of Us show on HBO starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, according to new details and speculation shared by billbil-kun, an insider who's best known for his PlayStation leaks, including, more recently, God of War Ragnarök's PC port.

I was thinking about this and came up with a theory that they might be delaying it due to damage control reasons. They don't want the controversy surrounding the game regurgitated in advance because they fear it might negatively affect the TV show.
