The UK Competition and Markets Authority has concluded that Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard will not result in a substantial decrease in competition for console gaming in the UK. UK CMA goes on to explain that while previously submitted evidence indicated that Microsoft might make the Call of Duty franchise an exclusive for its Xbox consoles it now believes that prospect to be unlikely as it would, in fact, hurt Microsoft financially.
