Warner Bros. has said that although the latest record-breaking sales numbers are important, it has high hopes for the forthcoming Nintendo Switch launch. Hogwarts Legacy hit another major sales milestone this week when it was announced that over 15 million copies have been sold and it has now topped over $1 billion in sales. These sales have happened as the game has only launched on PC and next-gen consoles thus far.
Hogwarts Legacy previously became WB Games' biggest launch ever but this could still be only the tip of the iceberg as the company prepares the next release on the console where it believes it will have a greater install base. JB Perrette (President & CEO of Discovery Streaming & International) added in the earnings call that Nintendo has an even bigger footprint in Japan where the Harry Potter franchise is also extremely popular.
