Back in September, Microsoft shocked the gaming world by announcing that it had acquired Bethesda Softworks’ legendary network of developers, which comprises the likes of Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, MachineGames, and Tango Gameworks. Something that most of us have been wondering is whether that meant upcoming hits like The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield would be Xbox exclusives.

Meaning we never intended to make money to begin with.

So I guess pc only games are not going to ever make money? Pick your battle but stick to it.

Cloud gaming, Xbox, and pc gaming is a massive market and rather easy to be profitable in alone as long as your game is good. This studio has never struggled with that.

This could be said for almost every market ever. That is a huge “as long as” though.

If you were just in it for money you’d release a free mobile game with cash shop - those make more money than anything right now.
 
Better open up the salt mines, as it will be in short supply should TES VI and/or Starfield not release on Sony platforms.
