The SUPER's in the 40 series 'fixed' that lineup, and the same thing is poised to happen this gen, the SUPER's will 'fix' the 50 series, which I would argue should have been the default config from the get-go. But this plan is not unprecedented.

Unfortuntely, all the cards are out of stock right now, so we don't know what the available price actually is for the 9070/XT either. If you look at PC Part Picker, any 9070s showing in stock are above $700, up to $850, and that's just for the 9070 model, ouch. It is not really an assumption...
