  1. No GeForce RTX 5060 Review On Launch Day, No Driver

Why Review Embargo and Pre-Testing Is Important In all of my time reviewing hardware, I have rarely seen this move, and it is usually for reasons not benefiting the consumer. In this editorial news article, I am going to discuss some opinions about review embargo dates and times with pre-testing...
  2. My Ryzen 9 9950X Died... on an ASRock Motherboard (talking head)

I use an ASRock X870E Taichi for my primary benchmark platform, 9800X3D, and of course I've tested all the Zen4/5 CPUs on it recently, along with 9950X3D. I've been through a ton of different BIOS's since I've been using the board and CPU since launch. I know it is cliche to say this, but no...

  4. DOOM: The Dark Ages Will Be the “Most Ambitious DOOM Game to Date” When Prequel Launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox App for Windows PC, Steam, P...

Funny story about that too, we brought in our own computers and hardware to do the testing, I brought in this dinky little small cheap arse keyboard to use since it was very portable, and John Carmack sat at the keyboard to do some typing in the command line, and we were cringing at him trying...
  5. NVIDIA Releases Another Driver to Address Black Screen Issues, Only to Introduce a Potentially Hardware-Damaging Issue Requiring a Hotfix

The SUPER's in the 40 series 'fixed' that lineup, and the same thing is poised to happen this gen, the SUPER's will 'fix' the 50 series, which I would argue should have been the default config from the get-go. But this plan is not unprecedented.
  6. DOOM: The Dark Ages Will Be the “Most Ambitious DOOM Game to Date” When Prequel Launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox App for Windows PC, Steam, P...

I remember when Doom 3 came out, playing it at ID software headquarters, with John Carmack in the room showing us how the game works, benchmarking the game before release for a review. What an amazing experience. I really enjoyed that game, and Doom Eternal, can't wait for this new one.
  7. NVIDIA Releases Another Driver to Address Black Screen Issues, Only to Introduce a Potentially Hardware-Damaging Issue Requiring a Hotfix

Never known NVIDIA to discount or lower MSRP on cards. AMD has done it before though.
  8. GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G Video Card Review

  9. Nvidia driver crashing with newest drivers and monitor DP port when More than 1 monitor used.

Watched the video 👎 NVIDIA, this generational launch has been a disaster.

  11. ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 OC Edition Video Card Review

Unfortuntely, all the cards are out of stock right now, so we don't know what the available price actually is for the 9070/XT either. If you look at PC Part Picker, any 9070s showing in stock are above $700, up to $850, and that's just for the 9070 model, ouch. It is not really an assumption...
  12. ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 OC Edition Video Card Review

The problem is, it too is expensive, and not at MSRP, with rumors that pricing on the 9070/XT will actually not be MSRP, but higher, in the next couple of months it's all a wash. The prices fluctuating on both ends, is a problem for everyone. It's very uncertain times. So in a perfect world...
  13. MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12G GAMING TRIO OC Video Card Review

MSRP is a construct at this point. I don't think we'll really know how pricing levels out till much later this Summer.
  14. Microsoft Partners with GPU Manufacturers to Bring “Groundbreaking Performance Improvements” with DirectX Raytracing 1.2

I find these kinda things very cool, I like that RT Shader Re-Ordering is finally part of the spec, NVIDIA introduced that a while ago in hardware, but it is only being added now to the direct-x pipeline. It sounds like some good improvements to Path Tracing, I'm looking forward to seeing what...
