Sodium Ion will be a solution soon. Looks like, for now, some datacentres are going with ferrous oxide batteries (really!) There's a lot of money on fusion coming online by the early 2030s. We'll see how THAT goes.

It was a feature-differentiator for NV on their 2000-series cards. Plus rendering nerds have been wanting RT for ages (for whatever reason). Developers like it because no more lightmaps (see: games with RT-only rendering, such as Doom Dark Ages).

That's what the leakers/whateveryouwannacallem over on AT have been saying for months. The 12c CCD will be on an N2-class node, but there will be mobile CCDs on N3P that have Zen6c cores as well. I don't have all the configurations memorized. Some SKUs will mix N2 and N3P CCDs, including...

Is that even legal? They can claim it's a mistake, but then reposting the product at a markup makes it look awfully shady. Once you agree upon a price that should be it.

They have plenty of competition, from CPUs that don't need all the cores to be on a single die.

So they're saving the best chips for cloud gaming. Great. Granted they're meant for multiple instances so that might be overkill for consumer (especially when limited on power budget). But given AMD's history with halo products (or lack thereof), what the market needs from them is a little...

At least it seems they've got the power consumption somewhat under control. It uses less power than the admittedly-faster 1700.

That's pretty expensive for a 10 or 12c Raptor Lake.
