I haven't tried in a bit but is there something stopping reviewers from using TechPowerUp's NVCleanstall and forcing the 5060 to work with current drivers?
I know it isn't going to be 'perfect' but it's better than nothing.
I used to do this back in the day on my 680m laptop after NVIDIA...
That is true but also AMD stated they wanted this generation to focus on gaining market share. I guess when NVIDIA is losing money on every geforce card created AMD just gain market share by having any product at any price.
(this is due to NVIDIA having to move allocation from server parts to...
If the prices are true it appears AMD's Radeon division has learned nothing (if it's trading blows with the 5070Ti/5070)
They need to go back to their strategy with the 5700XT and stop this NVIDIA +/- $50 for about the same performance.
The only specification change with 12V 2x6 was on the PSU-side and GPU-side. The sense pins were shortened and the power pins were lengthened.
Cable specification did not change.
Why MODDIY is recommending people upgrade to what should be the 'same' cable seems suspicious. I mean they say...
I wonder what is preventing the card from automatically clocking higher at stock settings. Maybe NVIDIA needs to adjust their boosting algorithm?
Also curious how close the automatic overclocking in the NVIDIA App gets to manual this generation.
I think you are either misunderstanding what I posted or I didn't explain it properly.
I always update drivers and my OS. When a new GPU launches I install that new driver. When I get a new GPU the new driver is already installed on my system. I don't wait weeks or months to get my new card...
And that driver is available and installed before I get the card 100% of the time (again unless it's bespoke or a new build)
Do yall not update drivers until after you upgrade your GPU?
? I have upgraded many a GPU and I've never installed the driver after install unless it's a brand new build or the driver was bespoke. Never had a problem.
I never want Windows to install it's own driver.
I would not be surprised if (some of) these issues are because of tampered with/modded BIOSs to bypass the restrictions
Also who updates their GPU driver after installing the graphics card?
