RDNA 4, AMD's next-generation graphics architecture, will not surface in Ryzen APUs for at least a few more years, according to new rumors out of China that claim AMD plans to incorporate RDNA 3-based iGPUs in its APUs until "at least 2027."

AMD: Intentionally crippling apus since 2017.
Its pretty obvious they are always trying to leave space for 'custom' silicon like consoles, or whatever. I wonder if they actually have contracts to that end. If AMD really did a proper APU, console level (they really could do even better with zero effort) depending on the price of said silicone, then this would make strong competition to consoles, except open with whatever store you want or all of them. Depending on the price, You could build a console like pc for similar price, like you always should, and did years ago, but can't anymore.

While you have a good point, they could shut down their dedicated GPU business then as you would not need a lower end card animore and that's where the bulk of the sales are.
