  1. Cable Companies Must Offer Free Internet to Millions of Low-Income Homes under Affordable Connectivity Program

I'd take FIOS in a heartbeat. This weekend I turned down almost double speed at a lower price from Comcast because I don't want another 24 month contract. I'm rolling the dice on Starlink when my kit arrives, hopefully this year.
  2. AMD’s RDNA 3-Based “Phoenix” iGPU Rumored to Perform Just as Fast as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (60 W) Laptop GPU

AMD talked about that with their AMD Advantage laptop(s?) last year - balancing power budget between the CPU and discreet GPU to maximize performance for the workload. Very glad to see AMD finally ditch Vega on APUs, and excited to see what they can do with RDNA3 both discreet and integrated.
  3. Cable Companies Must Offer Free Internet to Millions of Low-Income Homes under Affordable Connectivity Program

I'm sure this will produce the same results of all the other agreements that ISPs have made to increase coverage and access. I'm not even concerned with cheaper or faster Internet at this point. I just want a connection that doesn't cut out multiple times per month. **** you, Comcast.
  4. Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy Reportedly Lost Square Enix $200 Million

Each bit of info makes this acquisition look better. Even thinking back to the Nordic/THQ days, I can't think of an instance of blatant douchebaggery from Embracer, and that's very uncommon for a publisher.
  5. EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING Review

Great review, but I do have a suggestion for the site. I wanted to compare this EVGA to the Asus LC reviewed the other day, and the methodologies and formats were different. It may be worthwhile to standardize how similar cards are reviewed by different authors.
  6. Just Die Already and Paradigm Are Free on the Epic Games Store

"mutant with a deformed head who must contend with a sloth that vomits candy" Somebody needs to lay off the LSD.
  7. Viper Gaming Launches Venom DDR5 Memory Kits, including 32 GB DDR5-6200 with RGB for $379.99

Timing 40-40-40-76 Meh. It took a while, but we went from DDR3 1600 CAS 9 to DDR4 3200 CAS 14. Let me know when we get to DDR5 6400 CAS 28-30.
  8. Remedy Announces Max Payne and Max Payne 2 Remakes for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, Developed on Control’s Northlight Engine

I remember enjoying the first 2, never played the 3rd. I think I could get into the remakes if done right. Blizzard and Rockstar have shown how easy it is to screw up new versions of old games. I have a lot of good old games on GOG and Steam, and early 3rd person 3D haven't held up well for...
  9. The Witcher 3 “Better” than Dragon Age: Inquisition, Says Former BioWare Studio General Manager

He didn't necessarily say Witcher 3 was better than DA:I. He said Witcher 3 benefited ("was better") from not shipping on XBox 360 and PS3 and having to deal with the limitations of those platforms. I've never played DA:I, so I can't personally say one is better than the other. Witcher 3 is...
  10. Starfield Lead Designer: “Players Are Going to Lose Their Minds”

"responsible for writing and designing various Bethesda classics that include Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Neither being a stellar example of writing or design. Following the trend of RPG mechanics in Bethesda's games, I expect Starfield to be a walking simulator.
  11. AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT Rumored Specs: 15,360 Cores, 32 GB Memory, 500-Watt TBP, No PCIe Gen 5 Power Connector

"Enabling a wide range of densities based on 8Gb to 32Gb per memory layer, spanning device densities from 4GB (8Gb 4-high) to 64GB (32Gb 16-high); first generation HBM3 devices are expected to be based on a 16Gb memory layer"
  12. AMD Radeon RX 7950 XT Rumored Specs: 15,360 Cores, 32 GB Memory, 500-Watt TBP, No PCIe Gen 5 Power Connector

32 GB is a waste. I'd rather have 16 GB HBM or GDDR6 on a wider bus.
  13. Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.52 Released, Bringing Additional Improvements to the Game

Still interested in this game, still waiting for all content to be released before buying. CDPR is working on CP2077 (still), new version of Witcher 3 (next gen, RT), and the new Witcher game with codevelopment of UE5. Which will be finished first?
  14. AMD Ryzen 7000 Series 16C/32T CPU Rumored to Feature 170-Watt TDP

With competition going back and forth, Intel and AMD will be pushing the power envelope. Same as AMD and Nvidia are for GPUs. I like competition.
