  2. GPUScore by Basemark Reveals Its Most Demanding Ray Tracing Benchmark Yet, Coming Soon for Mobile and PC

if those are final screenshots it doesn't even look like raytracing. Looks so much worse than say Cyberpunk
  3. “Wasn’t Up to Standards”: Konami Apologizes for METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION

I mean, you can run all the games via emulation and they will look so much better than this sh*t. Oh and they can run at 4K, no prob.
  4. GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER vs GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Performance Comparison

Don't do this to me Great, when things are slow these articles are very useful.
  5. GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER vs GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Performance Comparison

I'm not sure I'd jump to a 4080 Super, the 4070TiSuper seems like a better deal, especially @1440p. I'm really tempted to go from a RTX3070Ti to a RTX4070Ti, but I think I'll wait for Blackwell. I'm afraid it will cost me more though.
  6. NVIDIA AIB GPU Market Share Rises to 88% in Q1 24

Hey also had a Geforce 2Pro back then. Some people say 3dfx could have survived if they hanged on a little bit longer. They had a lawsuit on nvidia for patent infrigment with a potential win. Which is actually the reason nvidia ended up buying them.
  7. NVIDIA AIB GPU Market Share Rises to 88% in Q1 24

you probably didn't want nvidia to buy 3dfx either right? ;);) Anyway, IIRC ATI was not in a very good financial position and gladly took on AMDs offer. To think that nvidia almost went bankrupt once and was supposedly in talks for an intel buyout. Today it's the 2nd most valuable company in...
  8. Microsoft Shows Off Automatic Super Resolution, the First OS-Integrated, AI-Based Super Resolution Tech for Gaming

So, it works on existing games, so I'm assuming its driver based, it doesn't say all games or DX12 only so compatibility is anyones guess. Also, MS says that only ARM/Qualcomm Copilot+ PCs are supported, apparently it will work with x86 pcs with nvidia/intel/amd cards. Thing is, it seems ASR is...
  9. NVIDIA AIB GPU Market Share Rises to 88% in Q1 24

But but AMD is is better with shaders, no one wants RTX, FSR is just as good as DLSS...
  10. NVIDIA Switches to 1-Year Cadence for New GPUs, New CPUs, and More

I find it more likely that AMD lessens its efforts on PC gaming rather than nvidia and focus on consoles and the mainstream market. If Navi40 is any indication that's what it would seem No way nvidia will abandon a market it leads comfortably, specially when they can charge whatever they want...
  11. NVIDIA Switches to 1-Year Cadence for New GPUs, New CPUs, and More

Yup, I'm pretty sure nvidia will find a "loophole" to claim it has a 1 year cadence, but as I mentioned it will probably release different architectures for different segments yearly, we'll probably have to wait a couple of years to get the next gen gaming architecture. Also, just moving to a...
  12. NVIDIA Switches to 1-Year Cadence for New GPUs, New CPUs, and More

actually the cycle is of a brand new architecture like fermi to maxwell to pascal et al, not card models of the same family.
  13. Overclocked GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER vs Overclocked Radeon RX 7900 GRE Performance Comparison

Well, MS is betting big on AI on the desktop, so nvidia will surely try to grab a large chunk of that market.
  14. Overclocked GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER vs Overclocked Radeon RX 7900 GRE Performance Comparison

I thought RDNA 4 was to match the RTX4080, anyway that's not what it's going to compete with. But if its priced right, it will force nvidia to price their cards accordingly, consumer win!!!.
  15. NVIDIA Switches to 1-Year Cadence for New GPUs, New CPUs, and More

BTW remember that nvidia is THE dominant player in pretty much every market its in, so having them on the Android pc/mobile front is pretty huge.
  16. NVIDIA Switches to 1-Year Cadence for New GPUs, New CPUs, and More

Its been a while since nvidia had a 1 year cadence and I remember a time when there was a 6 month cadence. I wonder how long will nvidia be able to sustain such a cadence, though, I assume they will release a different kind of product each year. Like gaming then AI, then HTPC et al. No doubt...
