  1. LucasArts Has Been Reborn as Lucasfilm Games

Are there any games coming up? Seems every game that looks promising just gets canceled by them anyways...
  2. Apple Reportedly Taps Hyundai for 2024 Electric Car Debut

Hyundai has really good control over their entire supply chain and are improving rapidly. That's something that's probably attractive to Apple when looking for a manufacturing partner.
  3. LG Teases UltraGear 4K UHD IPS Monitor with HDMI 2.1

I have to run mine at 150%, 125% is doable but honestly just requires me to strain my eyes a little bit too much. I still don’t get why they keep shoveling this 27” garbage. 1440P at 32” is perfect but there’s maybe 1 high end monitor at that size.
  4. Sony Announces World’s First 8K LED, 4K OLED, and 4K LED “Cognitive Intelligence” TVs

Those old 1080P TVs are great for cable type content to be honest. Up scaling from 720P to 1080P or 1080i to 1080P is a lot easier than going to 4K. The only thing you are really missing out on is HDR, but then again only a couple of TVs actually have usable HDR. I’m not sure about Sony this...
  5. Epic Games Purchases Shopping Mall for $95 Million to Convert Into New Headquarters

I’d rather have a dead mall than this garbage company.
  6. Trickle Down supply issues (aka F Scalpers)

I scored my RTX 2080 for $300, so even though the RGB doesn't work and some idiot damaged some parts (superficial), I can't complain lol. I scored my previous GTX 1080 for around $350 with tax and my 980Ti for about the same, I'm probably dreaming to be able to score a 3080 for that price at...
  7. Trickle Down supply issues (aka F Scalpers)

The only thing I can recommend is to try out Hotstockapp. But you are right, maybe next time I’ll consider that instead. I probably wouldn’t even take anymore than $10-20 because I personally don’t believe in scalping at all. I really do hope it normalizes a bit towards the second half of this year.
  8. Samsung Shares First Look at 2021 Neo QLED, Micro LED, and Lifestyle TV Lines

You'll probably be waiting 5+ years unless you have a spare $100k lying around. I hope the MiniLED implementations from the big players (Sony, Samsung) are good enough until we get MicroLED.
  9. Samsung Shares First Look at 2021 Neo QLED, Micro LED, and Lifestyle TV Lines

It looks like really bad CGI to be honest. I'd drop a log on whoever rendered that
  10. Post your rig!

  11. Asus has released the BIOS w/ Ryzen 5000 Series CPU Compatability

So I updated my X470 Strix-F a couple weeks after they released the BIOS update for it and everything seemed fine. My scores in benchmarks went down a bit with my 2600X, but nothing crazy. It also boosted a bit low at stock with my 5600X, but I fixed that with AutoOC. I have had it fail to boot...
  12. Trickle Down supply issues (aka F Scalpers)

I managed to grab a 3080 from BestBuy the other day, seemed it was a pretty big drop. I ended up canceling as I don't think it's worth it for my usage right now and I want to see what the Super/Ti models bring to the table. Hopefully stock gets better in the second half of this year.
  13. Free Metro Last Light Redux GoG

I bought it on Steam for $4 2 days before this, and of course played more than 2 hours. Grabbed it anyways so I have them all on GoG :)
  14. Samsung Shares First Look at 2021 Neo QLED, Micro LED, and Lifestyle TV Lines

MicroLED is OLED without any of the drawbacks. The pixels won't degrade like OLEDs do and the brightness is MUCH higher (2000+ nits across the entire screen without ABL). QLED is just Samsung's marketing for Quantum Dot, aka better colors/wide gamut coverage. MiniLED is the short term solution...
  15. DRAM Prices Expected to Increase Due to Power Outage at Micron Plant

Since this seems to be a reoccurring problem, have they ever considered a backup power system? Oh wait, it’s all made up anyways to increase prices :giggle:
  16. Warner Bros. Releasing Entire 2021 Film Slate (Dune, Matrix 4, and More) Straight to HBO Max

Netflix is closer to 15mbps for most content IIRC, AppleTV+ is 25mbps, although their issue is lack of content. Usually the biggest benefit to a BluRay over streaming is the better audio, PQ isn't really that much different unless you are sitting really close and some darker scenes.
  17. It’s Official: AMD Radeon RX 6800 Series Is a Paper Launch

Call it what you want, either way inventory was nonexistent even though AMD tried to troll Nvidia. Let’s see how the situation is by let’s say February, if it’s still like this then we know they really were just blowing smoke when they said “at least you’ll be able to buy it”.
  18. AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Limited to 2.8 GHz, but Radeon RX 6900 XT Can Reach 3.0 GHz

They’ll produce enough to give to ever random YouTuber though :alien:
  19. AMD: Custom Radeon RX 6800 Series GPUs Will Be Available at MSRP within Eight Weeks

Here's what confuses me, Nvidia was chastised for releasing cards that were slightly above MSRP ($50-100), meanwhile AMD is getting a pass from certain people. Wtf? Either way, it's a terrible time to be a PC enthusiast. About a year ago was a great time for basically everything except maybe...
  20. NVIDIA Reportedly Sold $175 Million Worth of Ampere GPUs to Miners

Any source on this or just speculation?
