  1. Multiple Thermal Paste Comparisons and Review

I bought some Kryonaut and honestly, I don't see what's so special about it either. I used some like 5+ year old MX-4 before that and it seemed to be fine. As long as it's non-conductive and within 1-2C of the other pastes, I'll just go with whatever is cheapest.
  2. Multiple Thermal Paste Comparisons and Review

Well, it's not a good idea to use on an IHS mainly because if you spill just a tiny bit over the side it could short out and it also sticks much more than regular TIM. It will also discolor copper heatsinks.
  3. Silicon Lottery: Only 6% of AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPUs Capable of 4.2 GHz

All of them? They use other sources to get CPU's that AMD doesn't supply IIRC.
  4. Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia!?

Didn't Google mention it will be using AMD for Stadia?
  5. More OLED on the way

Mini-led should be nice until we get "real" micro-led. Seeing some promising stuff on the TV front, mainly from the chinese players (TCL, Hisense). All the pros of OLED without any of the cons? Sign me up.
  6. Silicon Lottery: Only 6% of AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPUs Capable of 4.2 GHz

Wouldn't surprise me. People always talk **** about Intel's shady tactics, but seem to just gloss over AMD's ****. Maybe this is just a conspiracy theory, but I'm pretty sure they have planted a lot of bots on reddit and other sites to upvote/downvote and try to justify things like bad launch...
  7. AMD CEO Alludes to Death of CrossFire and Multi-GPU Trend

I am running 4 off of my GTX 1080, which is what almost every Nvidia GPU xx60 and above will do. I think you could technically run even more with displayport daisychaining, but I'm not sure on that. Nvidia used to have a really handy link on their site that showed how many monitors different...
  8. New Teaser Released for Straight-to-Video DOOM Movie, Annihilation

The original one wasn't bad for an actionish movie. They should just stop trying to make movies based on video games though, most are pretty bad.
  9. What resolution do you feel your graphics card performs best at?

All depends on settings, I guess ideally 1440P for my 1080 but I'm using it at 4K. Sometimes I use 3200x1800 or 2880x1620 if I need more FPS.
  10. Asus Crosshair VIII Hero, M.2 Install?

Well the first uses lanes directly from the CPU while the second uses the ones from the Mobo, but on X570 that should be fine either way. I would put my fastest one in the first slot though.
  11. Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Cooler Review

Intel is different for idle temps, Ryzen reports higher because a lot of programs force 1-2 cores to boost for no reason. My 3770K @ 4.4ghz idled in the 30C area, my 2600X idles around 45-50C (30C area if I'm doing absolutely nothing). I had to change my fan profile so it doesn't ramp up until...
  12. Looking for a good home office router/switch/wifi access point.

I've been using Netgear for the past 10 years now I think. First a WNDR3700 or something and now an R7000. They both worked well with a couple minor issues requiring a reboot here and there. A lot of people seem to recommend Ubiquiti routers (USG for ease of use) for a bit more...
  13. More OLED on the way

I just swapped from 1080P 144Hz to 4K 60Hz and couldn't be happier. I realized I don't care about the motion blur stuff since I rarely play fast paced shooters anymore and oddly enough its easier to target 60FPS with 4K (lowering some settings or resolution a bit) than it was 144FPS with 1080P.
  14. AMD: 110-Degree Temps in Radeon RX 5700, 5700 XT Nothing to Worry About

I should have known that . Although the next question is where will it transfer first and are the components around it designed to handle that heat? It would be nice being able to run components at 100C+ with almost zero noise though since the amount of heat dumped in the room isn't...
  15. AMD: 110-Degree Temps in Radeon RX 5700, 5700 XT Nothing to Worry About

Other than endothermic reactions, I'm not sure of anything that runs better at high temperatures.
  16. AMD Completes 7 Nm+ Zen 3 for Potential 2020 Release, Zen 4 on Track for 2021

Well they are calling it Zen 3 and not Zen 2+, so it should be a bigger jump than Zen to Zen+. Also this will be the last AM4 compatible chip, Zen 4 should be AM5 or whatever they wanna call the next one.
  17. Destiny 2’s Install Size Grows to 165 GB with Shadowkeep Expansion

What Hz do you play at? I always drop into the 60-80's on Titan and certain other planets while most actual activities are 120+. I assume it has to do with the netcode and something hammering the CPU because the GPU usage drops.
  18. Destiny 2’s Install Size Grows to 165 GB with Shadowkeep Expansion

Ehhh, a lot of the planets run like hot garbage (Titan specifically).
  19. Huawei Announces Open-Source Android Replacement HarmonyOS

Faster access to your data for Xi maybe :ROFLMAO:
  20. AMD's Latest AGESA Update Removes PCIe 4.0 Support on Pre-X570 Motherboards

IBM has been using PCIE 4 for a few years now IIRC ;)
