  1. Coming Soon: Front page and forum integration.

Since most of the staff and users are transplants from “that other site”, would there be a logical or financial benefit to trying to integrate? Granted some are banned from the other due to a little over zealous tyranny so maybe not. Haha. Idk if he’d ever let it go, but he also doesn’t want...
  2. Alienware May Release Portable Gaming Device

Get with launcher companies for lightweight versions. They have a lot to gain here too if they are successful. I think 720p for portable PC would be more realistic. Without any launcher platforms on board, they’re going to be gimped on content from the start.
  3. AMD Announces Press Conference at CES: Company to “Push the Envelope Yet Again” in 2020

So should I double my amd holdings....hm. 2019 was good year on that front at least.
  4. Boeing Fires CEO Dennis Muilenburg: 737 MAX Debacle Results in Big Leadership Changes

Ugh. I get it, ceo’s have thousands of decisions a day they probably give lip service to at most, but how do they continue to get away with this? As a company, they made decisions that killed lots of people, anything less than a full on recall and re design is unacceptable. A full on vw style...
  5. Star Wars Fans Are Beginning to Realize That the Sequel Trilogy Is Worse than the Prequels

You are not wrong. The force powers used have all been around since the kile katarn stuff (thats no longer cannon) at least though. Just never really used on screen. Definitely a video game like plot. It’s simple and safe. Whatever, I’ll take that over what RJ did to luke. Play the movie safe...
  6. Star Wars Fans Are Beginning to Realize That the Sequel Trilogy Is Worse than the Prequels

I thought they did a great job. Lots of course correction. At least one was cheesy and crazy obvious. I thought last jedi was a pile of poo, so knowing that going in, I thought they handled it well. I recommend it. Go in before getting spoiled on details. It was a fun movie and the twists and...
  7. Star Wars Fans Are Beginning to Realize That the Sequel Trilogy Is Worse than the Prequels

And they keep blaming solo’s failure on release schedule or fan reception. Everyone I know that saw it, liked it. It just released the same day as a marvel flick and, oh, the last jedi 5 months earlier was garbage. Ugh. I hate that they’re canceling star wars stories because they refuse to admit...
  8. Star Wars Fans Are Beginning to Realize That the Sequel Trilogy Is Worse than the Prequels

I really want to give 7 some benefit of doubt. In some ways, they had an impossible task that was already proven with the prequels. You can’t please Star Wars fans. So they played a safe bet and rehashed a new hope. On that principle alone, I let it go. The points you bring up are legit though...
  9. SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 5500 XT 4G OC Review

The 1650 has the added benefit of not needing extra power. In that budget level, how many users are upgrading hand me down OEMs, or building rigs on case supplied junk psus? When in doubt, the 1650 will just work while the 5500 will need additional concerns or upgrades.
  10. MonsterLabo Is Selling a Monstrous, 7-Pound Passive CPU/GPU Cooler Called “The Heart”

No pictures of it actually installed or benchmarks? I have 0 purchasing interest, but I am curious to how it looks/performed.
  11. Productivity at Microsoft Japan Jumped by 40% after It Adopted a Four-Day Work Week

My work has done this for a couple of years. I've gone between a 3 day weekend and a 1/2 split. Not sure which is best, but I definitely enjoy working 4 11s over 5 9s. The downside is the daily tasks that happen on work days are harder to get in, I pretty much don't see my family on work days...
  12. Intel Called Out for Publishing "Intentionally Misleading" Benchmarks Against AMD's EPYC

They always say take mfg stats with a grain of salt. No one ever ran an ad suggesting they were only x% slower while also being x% more expensive.
  13. Check Out the Packaging for AMD’s 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper

Can we get a Kyle unboxing of this one too? Haha. Wrong forum I know... :(
  14. Game of Thrones Creators Abandon New Post-Skywalker Star Wars Trilogy

I enjoyed the force awakens for what it was. A safe-choice reboot that paid homage to the originals and introduced a new set of characters as would be expected. It was entertaining, and since I went in with 0 expectations, I was happy with it. (han Solos dying was Fords doing, so I can't fault...
  15. Samsung’s New PCIe 4.0 SSDs, Which Top Out at 30 TB and 8,000 MB/s, “Never Die”

If it's like anything else I've owned from Samsung, it'll be only annoyingly operable or dead 2 days out of warranty. So I'll wait to see if they offer lifetime warranties before believing any of that.
  16. AMD Zen 3 Rumored to Double Thread Count per Core with SMT4

Woo! They need to start kindling the same fire in the gpu department.
  17. Metro 2033 Redux and Everything Are Up for Grabs at the Epic Games Store

I’m starting to like their launcher better. My only complaint is it opening to the store instead of library. I have run into a few bugs. I haven’t paid a dime yet, but I have had more than enough fun from a few games to make up for it. I can click the links here and own the game in seconds from...
  18. NVIDIA Studio Driver vs. GeForce Game Ready Driver Performance

    I miss omega drivers...
