This thing is still PCIe 3. Why couldn't they make it a PCIe 4x1, giving it the same bandwidth and make those x1 slots on the motherboards usable!

  3. Intel 13th/14th Gen RMA question/advice

I would stick with the BIOS update and the moment they become the slightest bit unstable, RMA them STAT!
  4. Latest Reports regarding NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series “Blackwell” GPUs Were Mistranslated and Misinterpreted, It’s Claimed

I heard from a guy, who knows a guy, that nVidia could have been involved with JFK's assassination too... They AI'ed the whole thing and JFK is actually home with his new alien wife on the planet Blackwell..
  5. Intel Core i9-14900K Microcode 0x129 BIOS Fix: Before vs After Performance Benchmarks

From watching Buildzoid's video on the update, he had easily captured 1.58V+ on the VCore prior to the update, and not able to trigger the scope after the update.
  6. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D Launched as a $299.99 Micro Center Exclusive

I have to travel over an hour to get to my local MC and I do it, cause it's the only game in town WORTH going to. There's a Best Buy not 25 minutes from my place and I don't go there.
  7. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D Launched as a $299.99 Micro Center Exclusive

That was the same sentiment when they released the 5600X3D as a MC Exclusive.. Although we never got the "real" reason it went MC-Only, but your hypothesis is dead on from what I've heard.
  8. Rumors of Greater Power Consumption with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series “Blackwell” GPUs Continue

I'm in the same boat Brian.. My 3070 and 3080 put off a lot of heat as it is..
  9. My new Powercolor 7900GRE Red Devil came in...

I love having nVidia Broadcast for my zoom and streaming purposes. If AMD had anything that rivaled it I'd be interested in the tests. Appreciate the offer though! :)
  10. Microsoft Says the End Is Nigh for Control Panel, Nearly 40 Years After Its Introduction

I agree Zarathustra. Irks me to no end that you can't simply go to "Devices and Printers" anymore from the old Control Panel in Win11.. I can't stand their new "settings" interface.. Maybe it's just my old age showing.. Get off my lawn you young whipper-snapper!
  11. AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU Review: 8-Core Zen 5 at $359

Absolutely.. AMD did good on their promise of making AM4 last for 5+ years.. One reason why I have stuck with their CPU products of late. When the next generation of motherboards come out, is when I foresee my home system getting its much warranted upgrade.
  12. “The Forever Mouse”: Logitech Mulls New Series of Mice with Subscription Fees

They're encrypting the signals from the mouse buttons, and you need the subscription service to decrypt them. The HID Driver won't know it's a click or not.. ;)
  13. AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU Review: 8-Core Zen 5 at $359

I didn't misread the article. I did take other reviews into my OPINION on the matter. If having an opinion you don't like placing me in "Intel Marketing" territory, then so be it..
  14. AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU Review: 8-Core Zen 5 at $359

So all we get basically this go-around is better power-efficiency.. I mean, that's all well and good but this was AMD's chance to put their foot on Intel's throat and they missed the mark... Thank you Brent for a thorough review as always!
  15. Edge-Lit TVs May Begin Deteriorating as Early as 2200 Hours, Tests Show

Hell.. I still have an old Vizio 32" TV from back in 2007?? **** thing is still kicking and screaming to this day. Thick sides.. Little heavy to carry but ****, that thing takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
  16. Intel Currently Has No Plans to Recall Failing 13th and 14th Gen Processors nor Will Sales Be Halted

Right now its AMD's turn to take advantage of the situation. Like LazyGamer said, AMD had exploding CPUs last year. Both sides have had their issues along the way. AMD's recent delay of the release of the 9000 series CPUs should be a sign that not all is right in the AMD camp too. It's sad...
  17. Faulty CrowdStrike Update Causes Global Outages on Windows Machines Disrupting Airlines, Banks, and Offices around the World

How are they able to roll out an update when the server in question BSODs on boot? I've got one system at a place that I can't even deploy the "delete driver files" fix because the machine is also running Bitlocker. The drive isn't available to Safemode or Recovery Command Prompt.
