  1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake May Be Revealed Next Month During Xbox Developer Direct

Oblivion is the best Elder Scrolls game, imo, still not too excited about a remake. It's Bethesda, anything they update probably has been done better by a mod already.
  2. OMEGA PHENEX COMMENCED PROJECT SIX Is an Indie Mech Game with Strong Armored Core Vibes in Development for PC

I don't want armored core vibes, how about Earthsiege II vibes instead?
  3. "We Definitely Knew It": The Witcher IV Devs Admit Its New Protagonist Would Be Controversial as PureArts Launches $3,000 Statue of Ciri

LOL, it looks nothing like the model in the cinematic trailer, they know that wouldn't sell. Yet they'll gaslight you all day that the people complaining about the character's looks in the trailer are just sexists. I'm so tired of this contempt AAA developers have for their own customers.
  4. Crucial Discontinues One of Its Most Popular SSDs After 7 Years

I recently purchased a 2TB BX500 to replace my "misc" drive which I just used for downloads and stuff I didn't intend to keep long term. It was an 1TB Hitachi HDD manufactured in 2009, so 15 years old, and it didn't fail, I just wanted better performance. I still have two SATA spinners (18 + 10...
  5. Crucial Discontinues One of Its Most Popular SSDs After 7 Years

The MX500 is not called that because it is 500GB, it is a name of a series. I believe it goes from 250GB to 2TB. Besides I think 500GB is still more than enough as a boot drive for most people.
  6. Neil Druckmann Reveals Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet for PS5, Naughty Dog’s “Wildest” and “Most Creative” Game Yet

Creative? The trailer is literally plagiarizing an anime. When you are recreating scenes almost identically you can not claim it's just inspired by it. Also comments turned off, 1:2 like to dislike ratio. This is a complete disaster for them. And instead of taking a step back and self...
  7. NVIDIA Demonstrates the Beauty of Full Ray Tracing in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

I couldn't watch it after the first line. Starts with "this is shaping up to be my favorite game of all time". OMG, man, can we at least not start with the blatant shilling, please? How can I expect a fair and unbiased technical analysis after that kind of introduction? Your credibility...
  8. Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will Feature a “Canon Mode” for Players Seeking a Choice-Free Experience

Short answer: No. I read it on twitter where it is impossible to find the same post 5 seconds later unless you commented on the thread or bookmarked it. Unfortunately I didn't do either.
  9. Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will Feature a “Canon Mode” for Players Seeking a Choice-Free Experience

They are also retconning all previous games in this apparently. Not that I care about AC lore, but I guess at least some of its fans do. I don't think Ubisoft could do a better job if they wanted the game to fail.
  10. The Epic Games Store Will Give Away 16 Games During This Year’s Holiday Sales Event, It’s Claimed

Why is it called a giveaway if you don't own anything?
  11. Sony Confirms Interest in Purchasing Kadokawa, Whose Staff Has Reportedly Expressed Enthusiasm at the Prospect of New Management

When did a buyout work out for the better for the company being bought? Except for when Boeing bought McDonnell Douglas.
  12. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Is Now Available, Delivering New Character Customization Options, Photo Mode Functionality, Additional Gameplay Improveme...

I agree with that despite hating the whole Johnny angle. The Phantom Liberty story clicked much better with me.
  13. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Is Now Available, Delivering New Character Customization Options, Photo Mode Functionality, Additional Gameplay Improveme...

That's why it seems like procrastination. They are delaying working on a sequel to put out a meaningless update for this game a year after the only DLC. And it didn't even live up to the hype they generated, only expanding a few features the majority doesn't care about, nor asked for.
  14. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

I thought you weren't meant to be able to save during the secret ending, that's why its hard. Phantom Liberty depending on its own outcome adds one more completely new ending to the main story as well.
  15. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

Since there are at least four completely distinct endings and side quests with multiple possible outcomes that's no excuse. Plus this is a game where the journey is not just a means to an end but enjoyable in its own right.
  16. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

I haven't played the game for 2 years when phantom liberty came out, so it was time for a brand new game anyway. It ended up being more than one.
  17. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

Based on the hint, I expect procedurally generated assassination missions. Which might be a bit on the nose given recent events.
  18. GSC Explains Why It Couldn’t Delay S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Any Longer to Fix Bugs: “You’re So Tired That You Would Just Die”

What I don't get is why do people think there is a right and a wrong choice on when to play a game. Everyone is free to choose. I played Cyberpunk 2077 when it launched and I don't regret it. Someone else deciding to wait however long did not bother me, unless they were trying to convince me...
