  1. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Launches on January 21 for $1,370, It’s Claimed as GeForce RTX 5090 Rumors Suggest $2,600 Pricing

I wouldn't expect either card to release in any kind of high volume at first. They'll be hens teeth for at least 3-4 months and scalped for stupid money. I won't be a buyer immediately anyways as I'll need a waterblock, which typically don't show up for a few months after release. I'm sure...
  2. Rumored Specs for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti Surface Online Showing Up to 300W TDP

I'd be interested to see memory usage testing at 1440P, which is what this card is aimed at. Will the 5070 even be able to push 1440P at max settings to saturate 12 GB of VRAM? I'd think the 5070 Ti would be the card to push limits, and that comes with 16 GB.
  3. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 (32 GB) With “Gargantuan” Performance Will Launch After the GeForce RTX 5080 (16 GB), It’s Claimed

Been some pricing leaks on the 5080 and it's coming in at just under $1600. That's a hard NO from me considering I'll also need a water block that'll probably be around $300.
  4. Casio Marks Its 50th Anniversary with the CRW-001 Ring Watch

Considering they are only making a limited number of them they'll be collectors items in a number of years. You'd be surprised at what some of the original G-Shock's sell for.
  5. NVIDIA App May Reduce Game Performance by up to 15%, New Benchmarks Suggest

At least it's only 12 minutes long, and not some 45 minute long rambling number salad. To save you some time just disable the two options "NVIDIA Overlay" and "Game filters and Photo mode". I had those options already disabled, so probably why I didn't see any performance issues.
  6. ZOTAC Lists NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 32 GB of GDDR7 Memory Alongside RTX 5090D, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070

Is 32 GB of VRAM even needed? Genuinely asking since I have no experience with 4K gaming or what kind of VRAM is used. Just that on cards like the 7900XTX was coming no where near using 24 GB.
  7. NVIDIA App May Reduce Game Performance by up to 15%, New Benchmarks Suggest

I, honestly, haven't noticed. I keep an FPS counter up in every game and they all run the same. Is this only effecting 4000 series cards?
  8. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Is Now Available, Delivering New Character Customization Options, Photo Mode Functionality, Additional Gameplay Improveme...

I never could finish this game. I tried it 3 times, just lose interest after about 4 hours. Maybe I'll fire it up one last time and give it another shot.
  9. GeForce Game Ready 566.36 WHQL Driver Officially Replaces GeForce Experience with NVIDIA App

Exactly. I don't sign in. And I've actually used the recommended game settings with some success. The older I get the less I want to sit there and fiddle with the 1000 different in-game graphics settings. I just want to play. So I'll apply the recommended settings and then make minor...
  10. Intel Is Not Backing Down in the Discreet GPU Sector and Its Xe3-Based Celestial Series Will Reportedly Compete at the Ultra-Enthusiast Segment

Let's all hope they spent some time refining their software for the "B" series release. The cards are only as good as the software that drives them.
  11. Applied Materials Announces Breakthrough “MAX OLED” Manufacturing Solution, Enabling up to 3x Brighter Displays and 2.5x Higher Resolution

Micro LED will be replacing OLED. It's just superior in every way. You can buy one now if you have the money. Remember when Plasma first came out? It was stupid expensive for even a 42" panel. Then large format LCD with LED full array was the next big thing that was stupid expensive. Then OLED...
  12. AMD Radeon RX 8800 XT Enters Mass Production This Month with GeForce RTX 4080-Level of Performance, It's Claimed

If they can keep the price around $600 it'll be a slam dunk. It'll really come down to RT and encoder performance. If it's not as good in either or both they need to price it accordingly.
  13. Applied Materials Announces Breakthrough “MAX OLED” Manufacturing Solution, Enabling up to 3x Brighter Displays and 2.5x Higher Resolution

A cutting edge start up out of the mid-west with display technology that has both military and civilian applications........ Jordan Belfort wants to sell you some of their stock before it's too late!
  14. AMD Radeon RX 8800 XT to Feature 220-Watt TDP and 2x 8-Pin Power Connectors, Seasonic Reveals

It'll come down to price point. I doubt the 8800 XT will be more than $600. While the 5080 is going to be $1200+. Not even in the same league.
  15. NZXT’s PC Subscription Service Has Been a “Godsend,” Customers Say

Rent-A-Center has been doing this for decades. If people are stupid enough to pay for it, so be it.
  16. NVIDIA Warns of A Gaming GPU Shortage as It Prepares to Launch Its GeForce RTX 50 Series

We were finally blessed with one in Charlotte. It's about 35 minutes away from me. I still don't like going to it since it's in the middle of the ghetto. And I mean ghetto, like, I'm not going there without other people with me and we're all armed.
  17. Intel Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU Pricing and Specifications Have Surfaced

It's speculated to perform on par with a 4060 Ti. If that's the case for $250 it's a slam dunk. Or course drivers and game support will be an issue.
