This sounds like rumor-mongering to keep the FOMO real and prices high right before AMD's release. Even if it is true - I have to question if the demand is really there at those prices. Sure, they may be selling out, but ... if you had enough cards to satisfy the demand, how far off from that...

Is this the "we don't need a Pro" Pro edition? Now we are just gonna call it the next generation and try to one-up Sony? I'm not necessarily opposed to that, the Pro thing is kinda ... cheap. I'd rather see a semi-regular cadence (every 3ish years) with backwards compatibility for a generation...

They changed the plug on the card/PSU side, but they didn't change the cable. Which is the odd thing here. So, in theory, having an old cable ~shouldn't~ matter. Provided it's actually at spec. And the spec is adequate (which is the part I and many others have been questioning all along).
