  1. Displayport cable ends

True. I just can't ever get mine to come loose when I want them to come out, and the angle that they plug into my monitors I can't get my fingers on the stupid tab because it's facing the monitor, not out - I have to get a pair of needle noses or something to get it pushed in.
  2. Production of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs Increased Due To Less-than-Expected Demand for Blackwell Datacenter GPUs, It’s Claimed

This sounds like rumor-mongering to keep the FOMO real and prices high right before AMD's release. Even if it is true - I have to question if the demand is really there at those prices. Sure, they may be selling out, but ... if you had enough cards to satisfy the demand, how far off from that...
  3. Displayport cable ends

All of mine have the tab. They are generally a pain in the rear. But i don’t know the actual answer to your question
  4. Testing Shows Recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE Cable Meltdown May Be Due to Uneven Power Distribution

I mean, hairdryers and coffee pots and toasters have been getting 600W connectors right for decades now...
  5. Xbox’s Next-Gen Console Has Been “Fully Approved” by Microsoft, It’s Claimed as Console Gamers Attempt to Cope with More and More Games Com...

Is this the "we don't need a Pro" Pro edition? Now we are just gonna call it the next generation and try to one-up Sony? I'm not necessarily opposed to that, the Pro thing is kinda ... cheap. I'd rather see a semi-regular cadence (every 3ish years) with backwards compatibility for a generation...
  6. The Z Build(s) 3.0 - Go Big and/or Go Home

Digikey and Mouser both used to allow private sales in smaller quantities
  7. A Game About Digging a Hole Is Currently on Steam’s Top Sellers List

I can definitely see it being a hit as a euphemism. I also enjoy digging holes, just not necessarily in video games.
  8. Falcon Northwest Throws Doubt on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Meltdown Controversy as Cable Maker Begins Warning Users Not to Use Old 12VHPWR Cables wit...

I would agree, if you are going to drop that kind of money on a GPU, getting a brand spankin' new PSU to go with it is chump change and cheap insurance....
  9. Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Is Now Available Worldwide, Bringing a Revolutionary New Chapter of the Strategy Franchise to Players on PS5, PS4, X...

I think I've drifted away from the 4x genre all together. I haven't been able to really dig into a Civ game since 3. They just seem to play slow and tedious by now.
  10. Borderlands 4 Launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 23

I kinda feel the same way. All of them just kinda feel the same to me. TPS being an exception, and the gravity thing was just dumb. I guess I at least applaud them for trying something new. The full Tiny Tina one I thought was ok, it had a story and played along well enough, but it was still...
  11. Falcon Northwest Throws Doubt on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Meltdown Controversy as Cable Maker Begins Warning Users Not to Use Old 12VHPWR Cables wit...

They changed the plug on the card/PSU side, but they didn't change the cable. Which is the odd thing here. So, in theory, having an old cable ~shouldn't~ matter. Provided it's actually at spec. And the spec is adequate (which is the part I and many others have been questioning all along).
  12. Borderlands 4 Launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 23

The same game Now with the Number 4! I say this, and i have mildly enjoyed all these titles. Not $70 day 1 purchases, but i seem to have accumulated all of them. Just have to have some space between them because they lay it on a bit heavy.
  13. The Z Build(s) 3.0 - Go Big and/or Go Home

I have a decades old D5 that I've been running in a pond off a solar panel for years.
  14. AMD Declares 2025 the “Year of the AI PC,” Comparing NPU Development to the 3D Revolution That GPUs Kicked Off in the ’90s

I think your idea of AI, and what everyone else is thinking, are vastly different. I dont think vendors are envisioning people training or runing full LLMs on their local PC. There's a lot of things you can do with AI other than just run massive LLMs. Apple has been using it for biometrics and...
  15. Testing Shows Recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE Cable Meltdown May Be Due to Uneven Power Distribution

A lot of folks spending their parents money, or who never had to really work for it, throw their cash down in rediculous places. And we have way to many entitled folks that fit that description.
  16. Testing Shows Recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE Cable Meltdown May Be Due to Uneven Power Distribution

Yeah if they are getting “special edition” cards that raises a whole different set of questions, which aren't any better
  17. Warcraft Is One of the Worst Movies Ever Made, Ex-Activision Blizzard Boss Says: “A Terrible Idea”

Well if the first movie were actually good… there could have been more. Is what i was saying there
  18. Testing Shows Recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE Cable Meltdown May Be Due to Uneven Power Distribution

That's soo much better than 11. 39 more cards definitely proves this wasn't a paper launch.
  19. Graphics Card Manufacturers Raise Prices for RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Premium Models to Astronomical Levels as MSRP Becomes a Mythical Beast

I was out at MSRP, but this is just "Grab the popcorn" level buttpooching here.
