  1. Bill Gates Is “Stunned” at What Intel Has Become: “Basically Lost Its Way”

I am talking about the main stream desktop processors. Not the HEDT stuff where the CPUs cost $2k. Because AMD had those, too. In 2018 AMD had 32 core HEDT processors. Main gaming systems and main desktops had 16 cores for AMD. Intel up to 6 cores. The fact they had 18 cores in some...
  2. Bill Gates Is “Stunned” at What Intel Has Become: “Basically Lost Its Way”

Right, AMD came out with 8 core processors for their first two Zen generations. Then they started with the 16 core processors. All the while Intel had 4, 6 If it wasn't for that. Intel would probably still be rocking quad core CPUs with IPC increases. In 2018, Intel came out with 6 core...
  3. Bill Gates Is “Stunned” at What Intel Has Become: “Basically Lost Its Way”

Nah, Intel killed themselves being greedy. Hiding new features behind high end datacenter products (IE: more PCIe lanes, more cores) and not innovating anything on the desktop side other than just mere IPC increases year after year. If it wasn't for AMD we would probably still be buying quad...
  4. NVIDIA DLSS Upscaling Tech Was Conceived by Jensen Huang “On the Spot” and Announced in Just Two Weeks, While Frame Generation Took Six Years t...

Yeah and AOL was a billion dollar company in the early Internet days and look what happened to it after the dot com bubble burst? Just because you're worth a lot of money doesn't mean ****.
  5. The Z Build(s) 3.0 - Go Big and/or Go Home

Wait what? I've seen a review of the radiator but he didn't mention that or I missed it. I think he was using, or tried to use, some fans with physical connectors on them that you could mate together without wires. Although he ended up having to use wires anyway because the mounting for the fans...
  6. The Z Build(s) 3.0 - Go Big and/or Go Home

I've seen the older mo-ra3 360 cool a CPU and 7 Titan V GPUs with a single d5 pump. The IV 600 will be able to dissipate far, far more cooling. You'd realistically only need one for all the components you're looking to cool, so having two is going to be a extreme overkill. Haha. Also, I do...
  7. The Z Build(s) 3.0 - Go Big and/or Go Home

I've been thinking about replacing the MO-RA3 420 I have for my build for the new big boy, but I don't think I'll need that kind of cooling. The 420 should work for my needs, more than enough. Its going to be cooling dual AMD 9654 EPYCs and a pair of either 3090s or 2 - 4 V100s depending on...

    What PSU are you using?
  9. AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Will Perform Similarly to Ryzen 7 9800X3D in Games, According to AMD Exec

I wonder if using programs that you can manually set the affinity on processes will help if manually setting games you play to the stacked cache CCD and leaving everything else on the non-stacked CCD. Windows, for what I have read sucks really badly at doing this on it's own. Linux, while a...
  10. Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

People have lost their mind if they think that developers will all of a sudden stop micro-transactions just because the games now cost $100. Reality is we'll have to pay $100 and micro-transactions will remain. Don't be fooled.
  11. Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

The only thing I find wild about all of that is the fact that GTAV has 8 and a half billion dollars in sales compared to the entire GTA franchise's 10 billion dollars. The first "4" games (there are more than just 4 but you get what I'm saying) combined for less than 2 billion dollars...
  12. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Availability Would Be Better If Intel Didn’t Build “Such a Horrible” Competitor, Executive Says

If they're that much more than the MSRP versions then I wont be buying them. I'll just buy one that's compatible with one of the aftermarket GPU blocks and do it myself. $400 is insane.
  13. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Availability Would Be Better If Intel Didn’t Build “Such a Horrible” Competitor, Executive Says

Ah Gigabyte, not MSI. Probably why I couldn't find it. Hopefully being custom water it wont be as hard to find, but IIRC the 4090 version of this was made in such small quantities that it was impossible to buy anyway.
  14. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Availability Would Be Better If Intel Didn’t Build “Such a Horrible” Competitor, Executive Says

I would love a version from nearly anyone that comes with a water block for custom loops. Based on what I've seen of the founders edition, unless the 3rd party manufactures use a single PCB in their designs then it may be a bit challenging with installing a water block on them.
  15. Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed to March 20, 2025 as Ubisoft Pledges a “High-Quality, Immersive Experience” for New Action RPG Set During 16...

If we stopped doing things on days that something bad happened then we wouldn't have any days left to do anything.
  16. Grand Theft Auto VI Will Make Over $3 Billion In Its First Year, Analysts Say: “Biggest Entertainment Launch of 2025”

Probably because I played 1, 2 then VC. I never played 3. I only played San Andreas a little. Like, tiny little. I never completed it as I played maybe 2 hours on it total. San Andreas reminded me of the Gran Turismo 3 to Gran Turismo 4 update. Sure, GT4 was way more "game" but it just felt...
