On a side note, I've seen a few posts claiming that the new transformer DLSS mode is much more improved quality than the old one. So much as DLSS balanced mode being indistinguishable from quality mode and even performance mode being much better than before.

So why is the 5090 not anywhere twice as fast as the 5080? what's holding it back?

I read somewhere that you can't put a waterblock on an FE card as its next to impossible to disassemble. BTW there are several AIB reviews already and other than price I see no difference vs FE.

I assume it has 3gb memory chips for 96 gb on a 512bit bus. I wonder if nvidia will eventually use 3gb chips on future cards. A 24gb RTX 5080 super doesn't sound bad.

I don't really see a reason it's not somewhat shorter. Pretty much all 3rd party cards I've seen look gargantuan.

Do you notice any IQ difference between DLSS4 and DLSS 3? DLSS is supposed to have better IQ

Well, the RTX 5090 is claimed to be twice as fast as the RTX4090 using multiframegen, since multiframegen can potentially double the frames, then the 4090 would be up to twice as fast, ergo, matching the RTX5090.

BTW there are rumors that DLSS framegen could be coming to even the RTX30 series and multiframe to the RTX40, would that mean that the RTX4090 would be as fast as the RTX5090?

I think AMD could actually do pretty well price/performance wise. On rasterizing the 9070 should beat the 5070, so does the 9070TX vs the 5070 Ti. At first it seemed like AMD didn't have a chance, but now that the dust has settled it fares so much better. I think even AMD had doubts and...
