  1. ASRock Intel Arc B570 Challenger 10GB OC Video Card Review

So what's the point of getting one if you have to pair it with a 9800X3d or even a 7800x3d? I hope intel fixes this.
  2. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” Series to Usher In a New World of AI Computer Graphics This Month, Led by RTX 5090 ($1,999) with up to 2x the...

So, it seems the initial excitement is fading. It appears that the "more realistic expectations" put the 5070 about as fast as the 4070Ti, the 5070Ti in the 4080 Super range and the 5080 just short from the 4090 in raster performance. So the RX 9070 series might actually have a shot.
  3. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” Series to Usher In a New World of AI Computer Graphics This Month, Led by RTX 5090 ($1,999) with up to 2x the...

I'm guessing the 5070 having 4090 performance, probably has a huge asterisk. Only with DLLS 4 and frame gen. Still, not too shabby
  4. Rumored Specs for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti Surface Online Showing Up to 300W TDP

I've seen rumors on a 24GB RTX 5080, but its been a while.
  5. Rumored Specs for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti Surface Online Showing Up to 300W TDP

I read rumors that nvidia having some new fancy tech that cuts down memory usage, but then again I read the same thing with Lovelace and that never happened. 12GB just doesn't cut it anymore for 2k gaming much less 4k.
  6. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop Are Free to Claim on the Epic Games Store

Lego Star Wars series is one of my favorites. I think I've played all of them except this one.
  7. Intel Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU Pricing and Specifications Have Surfaced

The cat is out of the bag Man this thing is pretty much worthless without XeSS, the performance at native res is terrible. But for the price... Let's see what AMD comes up with.
  8. AMD Radeon RX 8800 XT Enters Mass Production This Month with GeForce RTX 4080-Level of Performance, It's Claimed

IIRC it was always assumed that RDNA4 performance would match RTX 4080
  9. Intel Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU Pricing and Specifications Have Surfaced

If only intel could release something that could perform like a RTX 4070Ti for the right price. I'm not sure intel could even compete with AMD.
  10. Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament: GOTY Edition Are Now Available for Free on Archive.org

I was amazed by the intro of Unreal Gold, I used a TNT2, one of my favorite games even though I never got to finish it. UT was awesome also. In fact every now and then I install Unreal Gold just for kicks. Gotty try it @4k. I wish it received the RTX Remix treatment.

  12. Phil Spencer Confirms Development of Xbox Handheld as Microsoft Gaming Boss Reveals Any Xbox Exclusive Could Come to PlayStation, including Halo

I have a feeling it could be an ARM based streaming device for game pass subscribers. And double as local streaming from an Xbox Series X/S a la PS Portal.
  13. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Review

For pure gaming I'd still go with the 7800X3d, but the 9800X3D is better than the 9700X in every way. I don't really think we'll ever see a 9800X. Hopefully we'll eventually see a 9700X3d or even a 7700X3d that's I would get myself. I wonder what OC will bring to the table.
  14. Console Graphics Have “Plateaued,” Former PlayStation President Says: “Only Dogs Can Hear the Difference”

Brute force rendering is long gone You can double compute shaders/texture units/memory/bandwidth, but you get diminishing returns. Also, there's only so much you can do with "optimizations" and "tricks" like say tile rendering, color/memory/Z compression, culling, etc. Upscaling/frame gen is...
  15. GeForce 256: NVIDIA Marks 25th Anniversary of “World’s First GPU” with Celebratory Video, Green Popcorn, and More

AFAIK Rampage could not compete with nvidia. Actually, after the buyout, nvidia pretty much scrapped everything from 3dfx tech wise. At the time 3dfx was way behind from what nvidia was working on.
  16. GeForce 256: NVIDIA Marks 25th Anniversary of “World’s First GPU” with Celebratory Video, Green Popcorn, and More

The Geforce 256 put the very first nail in 3dfx coffin. Once it came out, voodoo had to play catch up and failed. I actually skipped the 256, at the time I had a TNT2, I went with the geforce 2 pro, awesome card.
  17. Intel Core Ultra 200S Series CPU Announcement – Specs and SKUs

I'm nore excited for the 9000 X3d series.
  18. Konami and FIFA Sign Collaboration Agreement to Continue Their Worldwide Commitment to the Advancement of eSports

  19. Upgrade Deal Alert: AMD AM4 Processors at All Time Lows

I don't get how the 5700X3d is not as popular as the 5800X3d, IMO it should be the #1 gaming cpu. It's an amazing processor for the price. Far better deal than the 5800X3d.
