  1. Bill Gates Is “Stunned” at What Intel Has Become: “Basically Lost Its Way”

IDK, I'd prefer less but faster cores, beyond a few very specific computation tasks what can even efficiently leverage so many threads?
  2. Bill Gates Is “Stunned” at What Intel Has Become: “Basically Lost Its Way”

Skylake already had up to 18 cores in 2017, that were in the enthusiast line, not datacenter / enterprise products.
  3. Bill Gates Is “Stunned” at What Intel Has Become: “Basically Lost Its Way”

True but you'll note that AMD has also only been giving IPC increases since intel is no longer competitive with them. Mainstream gaming has been 8 cores since 2017 at AMD's side too.

If it is not running an actual game that supports it then it has no resistance, it basically rotates freely. But I think despite being frowned upon Logitech wheels offer far more resistance than needed if you set the strength to maximum. I don't think anyone needs better unless they plan to go...
  5. Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali Star in First Trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, Featuring Dinosaurs “Too Dangerous for the Original Park”

A meaningful movie that makes you think is much better "mind fog" than braindead popcorn that takes itself too seriously. It actually makes me angry when a movie is not just stupid, but assumes its audience is stupid too.
  6. Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali Star in First Trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, Featuring Dinosaurs “Too Dangerous for the Original Park”

I haven't even seen the last one whatever that was called. The one before that "Fallen Kingdom" was insultingly bad. If this does well it will be only because of ScarJo. But based on the trailer she didn't even get into shape for it. If you want to play a badass you should look like a badass imo.
  7. EVGA Shuts Down Its Official Forums, Telling People to Go to Reddit Instead

Talk about disrespectful treatment, telling people to go to reddit qualifies.
  8. Steam Begins Warning Players of Early Access Games That Haven’t Been Updated in Months

Yes, this is what I meant, you are paying for the at purchase state of the game, everything that comes later is a bonus.
  9. Steam Begins Warning Players of Early Access Games That Haven’t Been Updated in Months

I have no issue with early access, you just need to understand that you are paying for the product as is. That's why it is cheaper than the final release version. It might be a good idea though to automatically delist ones that haven't been updated in 6 months, so there is no unsupported...
  10. Dragon Age: The Veilguard “Underperformed” Because Players Don’t Care About Blockbuster Storytelling Anymore, EA CFO Suggests

It is people like this why I won't feel sorry for the ultimate demise of the western AAA gaming industry. They are like the horse that keeps ducking its head under the feedbag, no matter how hard you try to pull it up. Let's be frank it failed because it was written by utter morons who are...

RTS? That's 90s you need to pump up those buzzwords. Presenting the AI NFT MOBA soulslike AR sustainable NFS, powered by Deepseek ChatGPT DLSS Framegen on Agile UE5 digital twin LLM. Oh, and of course cloud!

I don't even have 2gig LAN. But my internet wasn't always like this, only since one of the local oligarchs took over the cable company
  13. EA Plans to Bring Need for Speed Back in “New and Interesting Ways” as It Moves Criterion to Battlefield, Marking the End of Content for NFS Un...

Yeah, I tried the beta, and somehow they managed to completely miss the mark with that one. I was already skeptical when they announced the map, a cramped city just doesn't lend itself for racing. The original TDU had lots of back roads and highways, you only occasionally ventured into built up...

I don't think LOD really matters. All you need for a good racing game is good physics, good progression and respect of car culture instead of trying to make it brainless hipster crap doing 10 second long races with fireworks just in case they get bored still.
  15. Mass Effect 5 Will Be Developed by a Smaller Team at BioWare: “Studio Has Shrunk to Less than 100 People Following Dragon Age: The Veilguard”

Jason Schreier reduced to stealing scoops from the chuds without attribution and quoting press releases. So what is the purpose of a "games journalist" now? That's a rhetorical question. I know it is hating on gamers and shilling for the establishment.

NFS Died to me after Hot Pursuit 2. I understand many people loved Underground but it does not represent what NFS used to: Racing unattainable, expensive and exclusive cars on scenic routes. And not ricing up your Ford Focus then pretending to be fast and furious. The only game that was...
  17. NVIDIA Expects “Significant Demand” for the GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 as People Begin Camping Out for “Blackwell” GPUs at Micro Center: “...

How can you miss out on something that will only become more available as time goes on? I always get my upgrade around the middle of the life cycle. And I'm probably skipping the 5xxx series just as I did with the 3xxx. I'd probably have skipped the 1xxx too, had my 980Ti not died prematurely.
  18. Hogwarts Legacy Is Getting a Free PC Modding Support Update on January 30

The dozens of games that they haven't been able to mod yet outside of basic in memory texture swaps says otherwise.

If sanity would prevail they would get burned. But I guess the economy is not so bad if so many are willing to pay double for an already $2000 video card.
