  1. Testing Shows Recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE Cable Meltdown May Be Due to Uneven Power Distribution

Yup, the old Deskstar drives. As said they were fine if you never turned them off. lol
  2. AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series GPUs Surface at Canadian Retailer for $839 CAD (~$586 USD) to $1,239 CAD (~$865 USD)

"having inventory" could mean anything though. 1 card is technically inventory.
  3. AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series GPUs Surface at Canadian Retailer for $839 CAD (~$586 USD) to $1,239 CAD (~$865 USD)

I hope they delayed release so they could actually have inventory to ship. If it's another paper launch with a couple hundred units what's the point?
  4. Graphics Card Manufacturers Raise Prices for RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Premium Models to Astronomical Levels as MSRP Becomes a Mythical Beast

Why let scalpers have all the fun when they can scalp the cards themselves! That's what I get out of it since tariffs have not been raised/enacted yet.

They're launching it. Says so right there on that piece of paper. See? Right there! On the paper! Launched! :ROFLMAO:
  6. AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series Will Go on Sale in Early March, Bringing “Significantly” Better Ray Tracing Performance and 4K Gaming to Mainstream P...

If they're targeting creators they better have encoding performance on par with the NVENC capabilities of the 5070 Ti. That's been the biggest thing pushing people to Nvidia. NVENC H.264 works amazingly well for a single PC setup streaming to Twitch/YT. While AMD's solution is lack luster or...
  7. AMD 9800X3D Is the Biggest Seller of the Zen5 Series as Retailer Reports AMD Processors Account for over 90% of Its CPU Sales

I have a feeling AMD is holding on to the 9900/9950 X3D parts to see if Intel drops something or releases a BIOS/driver update to increase performance of their existing chips. Then AMD can drop the bomb on them with stock ready to ship. And if Intel doesn't then the new parts release end of...
  8. AMD Will Be Holding a Press Conference for the Radeon RX 9070 Series and RDNA 4 in Late February, It's Claimed

If AMD doesn't ship 10's of thousands of units they'll have already failed.
  9. EA Plans to Bring Need for Speed Back in “New and Interesting Ways” as It Moves Criterion to Battlefield, Marking the End of Content for NFS Un...

I've played the hell out of Forza Horizon 5. Yeah it's arcadey. But it's fun. Haven't played a NFS game since Hot Pursuit. I tried their latest one and couldn't get it to work right with my wheel and pedals. It was weird, I'd get great FPS until I stepped on the throttle then FPS would tank to...
  10. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 D Users Say Their “Blackwell” GPUs Failed After Installing the Latest Driver: “It Became a Brick”

Are you being serious? Every new to market GPU requires the latest driver.
  11. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition Video Card Review

I'm grabbing one tomorrow. Any way I slice it it'll be a massive improvement over my 2080 Ti. The latest gen NVENC encoders is icing on the cake for me. I'm also going to put it on water, and if needed overclock it. I wish reviewers would including encoder performance from gen to gen. I know...
  12. ASUS Launches Pre-Orders for the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM: “World’s First 27″ 4K OLED Gaming Monitor” Features DisplayPort 2.1a with 80 Gbps...

2560x1600 would be the sweet spot for me. Sadly no one makes one outside of small portable monitors. Dell used to make them until last year.
  13. NVIDIA Expects “Significant Demand” for the GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 as People Begin Camping Out for “Blackwell” GPUs at Micro Center: “...

This was expected. Even MSI said there weren't going to be many units shipped since they didn't receive many from Nvidia. I'm sure Der8aur, J2C, GN, HU and rest of the influencers are enjoying their free cards.
  14. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition Video Card Review

J2C video on it shows another 12'ish percent gain when overclocked. That would mean roughly 24% generational improvement. Which is what we'd typically expect.
  15. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition Video Card Review

It appears the 5080 is a good overclocker. If that is consistent across a bunch of samples then it's a great candidate for water cooling to open up some possible additional headroom.
  16. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Won’t Be Available at MSRP from AIB Partners Because That’d Be “Equivalent to Charity,” It’s Claimed: “Very, Ve...

The AIB's see how well the scalper market has done over the past few launches, so they want a piece of that pie and will charge scalper prices themselves.
  17. NVIDIA Expects “Significant Demand” for the GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 as People Begin Camping Out for “Blackwell” GPUs at Micro Center: “...

Meanwhile MSI just said that supply will be extremely low as they did not receive a lot of GPU's from Nvidia. Makes me think that Nvidia is manipulating the market to keep values as high as possible,
