  1. Acer Nitro XV240 F6 Is an “Ultraspeed” Gaming Monitor with 600 Hz Refresh Rate

I recently bought the Hisense 85" U8N with mini-LED and 2200 dimming zones. TV is phenomenal. Barely puts off any heat.
  2. MSI Unleashes a Symphony with Its Latest Gaming Headset, Featuring High-Resolution 40mm Neodymium Drivers

No reason to do a headset deep dive. They're all equally garbage in terms of fidelity and quality. The fidelity can be summed up by the extremely small discrete DAC's and amp's they put in them. They can put the best speakers and magnets on the planet inside these headsets and they'll still...
  3. MSI Unleashes a Symphony with Its Latest Gaming Headset, Featuring High-Resolution 40mm Neodymium Drivers

At the very least they could mention a price. That being said I've never been impressed with any "gaming headset" regardless of the features and specs.

  5. Intel Core Ultra 200V Series CPUs Detailed

  6. Acer Nitro XV240 F6 Is an “Ultraspeed” Gaming Monitor with 600 Hz Refresh Rate

I just think about in the context that this Acer monitor is being touted as the best new display for gaming. It's 24" 1080P at 600 hz. That's just dogpoop considering we had those displays 15 years ago. And not only that, but the picture was worlds better and brighter than these TN panels. I...
  7. Acer Nitro XV240 F6 Is an “Ultraspeed” Gaming Monitor with 600 Hz Refresh Rate

I've always wondered why they don't make plasma gaming monitors. They were 600 hz back in the late 00's.
  8. Kingston Delivers High-Capacity 4×4 NVMe PCIe Performance with NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

It's been shown numerous times that game load times are not really effected by disk speed beyond a point. I think it was GN that tested it with gen 3 and 4 drives. The load times were identical, within margin of error in testing. You're basically limited at the OS layer and game engine's ability...
  9. Rumors of Greater Power Consumption with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series “Blackwell” GPUs Continue

Pretty soon we'll need dedicated 30 amp service to run a gaming PC.
  10. NVIDIA Launched the World’s First GPU 25 Years Ago

First GPU I bought in 1996 was a Diamond Stealth 3D 3000, which was S3 Virge based. It was ok at the time, but lacked OGL support. I remember upgrading, maybe a year or so later, to an ATi Rage Pro, just to play Quake. Was running it on a Pentium Pro 166. I got stupid lucky by finding that PC...
  11. Windows 11 Is Now the Most Popular OS among Steam Users, According to Valve’s Latest Hardware & Software Survey

Win 11 is so good that M$ hasn't moved their server OS to it yet.
  12. Windows 11 Is Now the Most Popular OS among Steam Users, According to Valve’s Latest Hardware & Software Survey

No way I'm switching to it on my gaming PC. Not until they've ironed out all the issues.
  13. Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Announced as the Ultimate Wireless Esports Controller for Xbox and PC

That's why I watch MX and SMX. Best rider wins.
  14. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PC System Requirements Reveal a 78 GB Install Size If Players Already Have COD HQ and Warzone

I'm getting hit with another 28 GB update. I haven't bought or pre-purchased anything. That's 104 GB in a few days when nothing changed on my side.
  15. Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Announced as the Ultimate Wireless Esports Controller for Xbox and PC

Every Apex pro uses a controller. Nearly every COD pro uses a controller. Basically, if the game can use a controller and has aim assist a pro will be using a controller for it. And wireless has gotten so good that there's basically zero benefit to using a wired. Aim assist is a joke...
  16. AMD Ryzen 7 9700X Delivers 13% Faster Performance in Cinebench R23 with New 105-Watt TDP Overclocking Option

PBO might give you another 10-15 watts. This is a 40W jump. That's a lot of extra power, for AMD. Meanwhile Intel over there like "105W? LOL....our sheeit idles higher than that!"
  17. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PC System Requirements Reveal a 78 GB Install Size If Players Already Have COD HQ and Warzone

Odd that I'm getting a 75.9 GB update to COD? Wouldn't be surprised if they're just forcing people to download it so at launch there isn't a massive bog on Steam and Battle.net.
