  1. Developer of Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story “Categorically Refuses” to Censor Controversial Game Amid Death Threats

I'm confused as there are way more explicit things on Steam that are way 'worse' than this game. Dunno why this one is getting attention specifically. Edit --- I wouldn't put it past the dev to have manufactured this as the game doesn't even have full nudity or sex (per the Steam page). I am...
  2. AMD Patent Hints at Radeon RX Chiplet GPUs

Curious how they are going to do this from a software-perspective. It will either require a ton of driver development (per game/engine) or they need to make multi-gpu a base part of Vulkan and DX before this type of GPU releases. It's likely way too much work ($$$) for a per game/engine...
  3. AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Overclocking

Do you know why the power draw on the 3080 was so low?
  4. NVIDIA Renews Contract with Samsung for GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs

I'd love to know how many cards have been shipped from both companies. All I have to go off of is - 3dmark has duplicate submissions and not everyone uses it but Time Spy over 230,000 submissions for 3080s over 115,000 for 3090s over 75,000 3070s over 12,000 3060 Tis vs over 9,000...
  5. You Can Now Play Quake II RTX on AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs

GN was the main one I saw. The 3060 Ti without DLSS is almost 30% faster than the 6900 XT.
  6. GIGABYTE’s Custom Radeon RX 6800 Series GPUs to Cost as High as $899

That is where the stock is going to. System builders come before DIY and system builders are being overrun with orders. I mean you get an entire system for the price you would pay a scalper. It's a steal. /ugh
  7. GIGABYTE’s Custom Radeon RX 6800 Series GPUs to Cost as High as $899

Every system builder pretty much. That is where it looks like almost all the stock is going because you can easily buy 30 series cards there.
  8. You Can Now Play Quake II RTX on AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs

This is legit better than I was expecting from AMD based on Minecraft results. Dunno if that's because of the extra dynamic visual stuff Minecraft has or not but this is more than adequate to play with the dynamic resolution in Q2
  9. GIGABYTE’s Custom Radeon RX 6800 Series GPUs to Cost as High as $899

I really think AIB partners are out of touch or AMD's GPU cost to AIBs are way too high. You can get a custom EK waterblock/backplate and the base 6800XT for $50 less than this card. All that is ignoring the $999 6900XT.
  10. PS5 GPU Performance Comparable to AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, Suggests Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Analysis

I estimated it's performance to be similar to what the 6600XT will be and I got some backlash from AMD reddit. It seems very clear to be 5700XT-like in rasterized performance.
  11. Sony Patent Fuels Speculation of PlayStation 5 Pro with Dual GPUs

The main thing that killed PC SLI was Unreal Engine 4's incompatibility in DX11. There is no reason a closed ecosystem couldn't massively benefit from multi-gpu.
  12. Square Enix Confirms Operating Loss of $67 Million Over Marvel’s Avengers, Will Attempt to Recuperate with DLC

Game was sold with the promise that all the content DLC is free. They are only charging for battle passes and cosmetics. I can't see any situation that this game turns around. Even free-to-play needs good incentives to continue playing and this game has none.
  13. Report: Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Support Ray Tracing for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs at Launch After All

Beta code should not be used as a comparison tool for public consumption. The only reason AMD should have issued it was specifically so reviewers could say hey AMD ray tracing works well in this game not look how bad Nvidia runs this game comparatively.
  14. Report: Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Support Ray Tracing for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs at Launch After All

This is a case where there wasn't anything to optimize and CDPR already had too much on their plate. That said, the system requirements look like DLSS is pretty much required for playable RT so they are likely working with AMD to get Super Resolution working. There is no excuse for Godfall...
  15. Godfall Requires 12 GB of VRAM at 4K with Ultra HD Textures, Which Could Pose a Problem for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Series

I kind of hope it does 100% require 12GB of VRAM at max settings to see how NVIDIA responds to people after they promised that 10GB would be fine. That said I am more on the side that it allocated 12GB of VRAM and requires much less.
  16. 3DMark Preps for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Launch with New DirectX Ray-Tracing Test

3090 FE 56fps stock 61.25 in benchmark mode 58.25 in everyday overclock mode
  17. AMD Radeon RX 6800 Beats NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 in Shadow of the Tomb Raider (4K, WQHD), Even with Ray Tracing Enabled (DLSS Off)

My everyday overclocked 3090 FE (I really don't care enough to run it multiple times) with everything I normally have open in the background got 4K - 65 1440p - 110
  18. AMD Releases Radeon RX 6000 Series Benchmark Comparison Tool

Interesting how the 3090 was 69fps in their previous material at 4K badass (same as my own 3090 stock) but now it's 66fps.
  19. NVIDIA Releases Game Ready Driver for GeForce RTX 3070 and Watch Dogs: Legion

From the hotfix driver to this I gained no average FPS in the benchmark Also I think DLSS is either implemented wrong or something else as even Quality mode has 'temporal aliasing' which is very noticeable at Performance mode
  20. AMD Announces Radeon RX 6900 XT ($999), Radeon RX 6800 XT ($649), and Radeon RX 6800 ($579)

According to Gamer's Nexus, most if not all current DXR implementations aren't compatible.
