  1. AMD Announces Radeon RX 6900 XT ($999), Radeon RX 6800 XT ($649), and Radeon RX 6800 ($579)

And the 6900XT is overclocked and has SAM enabled (which requires a 5000 series Ryzen CPU)
  2. Windows 10 October 2020 Update Rolling Out with Updated Start Menu, New Edge Features, and More

I've been running 20H2 on multiple systems for months and it's been perfect for me.
  3. Watch Dogs: Legion Will Run at 4K/30 FPS with Ray Tracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

IMO besides reflections, the only 'major' visual difference with ray-tracing is global illumination. Shadows and AO can be quite impressive but normally are faked well enough. What are you referring to specifically?
  4. Watch Dogs: Legion Will Run at 4K/30 FPS with Ray Tracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

I can guarantee you the ray-tracing will not be 4K quality on consoles so it won't be a 1 to 1 comparison. Digital Foundry said that for the PS5 Gran Turismo 7 preview videos that the reflections were at most 1080p and may actually be lower/checkerboarded - https://youtu.be/Azl772uylh4?t=241...
  5. ASUS x GUNDAM Lineup Includes $2,499 GeForce ROG Strix RTX 3090, $1,499 Motherboards, and More

The routers are available on ASUS's webstore but it requires a Chinese phone number or I would have grabbed one. They are China only :(
  6. Blizzard Preparing for StarCraft III?

SC2 was Mike's baby. As soon as they dropped HOTS and SC2 esports is when I knew Mike had been overruled/outed. Mike would regularly fly to South Korea to watch professional StarCraft games in the crowd as a fan. To say it was his baby is an understatement. Starcraft esports was Mike's...
  7. Blizzard Preparing for StarCraft III?

Mike Morhaime was the only reason SC2 got the support it did. Activision knows there is no money in RTS games. I expect a StarCraft FPS. I also expect Dreamhaven to be releasing a spiritual successor to StarCraft.
  8. GeForce RTX 3080 (20 GB) to Cost $999? NVIDIA Reportedly Flooding GPU Market in November to Wash Away AMD

It only makes sense for AIBs to hold back 'flooding' the channel if you can make a lot more profit selling 20GB cards. This really isn't a conspiracy. I think everyone is waiting on the 16Gb GDDR6X memory chips from Micron.
  9. Intel/AMD Pricing War Imminent? 11th Gen Core i7 (8C/16T) to Undercut Ryzen 7 5800X by $100, Rumors Claim

I'm just talking about if someone is on AM4, it doesn't make any sense to move to Intel just for 11th gen even if it is 'faster' (and vice versa) For new computer buyers or people who don't plan on upgrading for years, it really doesn't matter - you would want to get whatever is cheaper and...
  10. Razer Partners with ASRock for New Branded Motherboards

It's not really even a torture test - that's just power limits removed. They did one using an overclocked 10900K as well which is more of a torture test. The testing group is all the cheapest Z490 motherboards they could acquire and only Asrock boards had real issues. Yes the Gigabyte board...
  11. Razer Partners with ASRock for New Branded Motherboards

I was mostly referring to the Hardware Unboxed issue where they asked for sampled low end z490 boards and were denied the request. They went out and bought the boards and the boards couldn't even handle a 10900K and got them blacklisted.
  12. The FPS Reviewcast – Episode 1

Loved the first podcast. Great PCPer vibes which adds another podcast to the watch/listen list.
  13. Razer Partners with ASRock for New Branded Motherboards

Very strange that they would partner with a motherboard maker that knowingly puts out motherboards so bad they won't send them to reviewers.
  14. AMD Shares Radeon RX 6000 Series 4K Benchmarks: “Most Powerful GPU We’ve Ever Built”

I ran some benchmarks with my 3090 FE for BL3 badass 4k and got 69.5 stock and 74.75 overclocked If RDNA2 overclocks well (and scales well with the OC), it should be very competitive in straight rasterization
  15. NVIDIA Refreshing GeForce RTX 30 Series on TSMC’s 7 nm Process?

I was under the understanding that process nodes were incompatible and would require a complete(ish) redesign to be moved over. I think this is more likely for mobile 30 series.
  16. Microsoft Disputes Reports of Xbox Series X Operating at “Fireplace” Temperatures

Reviewer(s) puts console in enclosed cabinet and then wonders why it's hot.
  17. “Ryzen” Prices? AMD Fans Worried About $50 Premium for Ryzen 5000 Series, Lack of Stock Coolers

5800X is pushing it as the 3800X was already too much for 8 cores. At this pricing for gaming only, it makes more sense to go Intel as they are at least getting another upgrade on the same chipset... I mean the 5900X and 5600X are fine pricing-wise vs Intel but I do not get the 5800X pricing.
  18. PS5 Teardown Provides Intimate Look at AMD Ryzen/Radeon SoC and Cooling Configuration

The first retail expansion for the XBSX is 1TB for ~$220 which is pretty much standard for PCIe 4.0 drives.
