  1. AMD Sort of Launches Ryzen 5 5500X3D 6 Core / 12 Thread Processor Featuring 96 MB of 3D V-Cache Memory

Last attempts at pulling money from the ol AM4 crowd.. If I hadn't upgraded my daughters system to AM5, this would have been an affordable chip to slap in there for her light needs.
  2. SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Video Card Review

That'd require a redesign of the PCB since the bus width for the memory would be different for the 12GB version vs. 16GB/8GB version. I could be wrong but I believe that is the reason why you don't see 12GB variants with 16GB options for the card.
  3. SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Video Card Review

Gamers Nexus went after AMD too regarding the 8GB variant.. AMD would have hit a home run if they could have just kept their mouth shut, but we all know that's not possible..

  8. Swapping SSD from an HP laptop to a Dell

Only problem I can think of is if Bitlocker is enabled and the TPM is needed for decryption of the drive. That's about it. Like Brian said though, you're better off just reinstalling the OS since the underlying arch of the laptops are drastically different.
  9. Displayport cable ends

I prefer the locking tab... Prevents the cable from just falling out with the slightest tug (I swing my monitors occasionally)..
  10. Warcraft Is One of the Worst Movies Ever Made, Ex-Activision Blizzard Boss Says: “A Terrible Idea”

Kotick is a tool.. Plain and simple. Was the movie a blockbuster?? No.. If you were a Warcraft fan, it was enjoyable.. I can understand if you had no clue of Warcraft lore, that you would have a hard time understanding the movie (as they didn't really spell everything out) but it was still...
  11. Testing Shows Recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE Cable Meltdown May Be Due to Uneven Power Distribution

150C at the PSU Connector looked scary AF. Something is amiss for sure and while this is only report #1 of meltage, I'm sure there will be more given time.
  12. Cameras

The only cameras I have experience with are the ones from Ubiquity. According to Reddit, you're better off sticking with Unifi Protect over Synology's Station. I have the last version of their NVR running for control and storage of video clips. It works.. Well enough for what we're...
  13. Graphics Card Manufacturers Raise Prices for RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Premium Models to Astronomical Levels as MSRP Becomes a Mythical Beast

Love the last line of the article! Could some of these increases be related to the tariffs that are being imposed as well? I know greed knows no limits, but it could be both.
  14. Steam Begins Warning Players of Early Access Games That Haven’t Been Updated in Months

Early Access should never have been a thing in the first place... SMDH..

Ubiquiti used to make great stuff... I've migrated away from them over the years..
