New York State Wants to Ban Flamethrowers Because of Elon Musk

It's not surprising. They ban everything fun in states like that.

    Corsair HX1500i - thoughts?

I think a lot of applications are better than iCUE, but that's hardly an endorsement. It's still crap. The Keychron web configurator is about the best I've seen so far. It's a web based interface and its pretty slick. You don't have to install anything.

AMD Lays Blame for AM5 Socket Burnouts on Motherboard Manufacturers

I've heard of ASUS and MSI having had the same issue, but issued BIOS updates quickly.

Samsung Launches World’s First 115″ Micro RGB TV, 500 Hz OLED Gaming Monitor, and Two New Additions to the Odyssey G7 Series

I agree that refresh rate shouldn't be the priority if you are looking for image quality. At 4K using max settings most games aren't going to hit 500FPS unless they are super old or something. It isn't as though Samsung doesn't have other offerings that are more in line with what you want though.

    Corsair HX1500i - thoughts?

So will I. Bottom line, I've had three Corsair power supplies and none of them have lasted all that long. My AX1200 lasted all of 3 years I think and that's one of the longer lived ones. I've had issues with many of their other products and Corsair iCUE is awful.

AMD Could Be Prepping a Flagship Next-Gen GPU Featuring 96 Compute Units with Memory on a 512-Bit Bus

I don't doubt AMD is probably working on something like this. What I doubt is that it will perform as well as anything NVIDIA currently has or will have at the time of release. AMD has been well behind NVIDIA for several product generations now.

Graphics Tech startup from the 90s

Buying STB and making their own cards (by extension getting rid of AIB partners) was what really did them in. Even then, their last hurrah which never came out was an inelegant, brute force solution which as I recall wouldn't have saved them. By that point, I think the GeForce 256 and GeForce 2...

Graphics Tech startup from the 90s

I completely forgot about those. I think I only ever saw one or two of those cards in person. I vaguely remember something like that.

Graphics Tech startup from the 90s

S3 predated the GPU wars entirely. Though they did participate with the S3 Virge. Back then everyone had 2D/3D accelerators but really lost out to the VooDoo 1 and later VooDoo 2, which were dedicated 3D cards but were so much faster when utilizing the Glide API. The only thing else like it was...

The More You Buy, the More You Enjoy, as Ubisoft Claims That Microtransactions Allow Players to Have More Fun

What Ubisoft is truly good at is failing to connect the dots. It's not that people enjoy microtransactions. They are simply willing to spend more on games they like. If a game is bad, microtransactions do not make it more fun. If anything, you will be less likely to spend anything on a game that...

The More You Buy, the More You Enjoy, as Ubisoft Claims That Microtransactions Allow Players to Have More Fun

It's not a surprise that a company that's literally floundering with one flop after another over the last two years thinks that.

ASRock B850 LiveMixer WiFi Motherboard Review

Well the point is that there are boards out there with stupid amounts of ports. But yes, that extra connectivity usually comes at higher price points.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 Arrives, Bringing New Vehicles & Quests, AutoDrive & Taxi Services, Photo Mode Features, Support for Mac Users, and More

I haven't had issues like that since the very early days of the game. Even then, I don't really recall that kind of thing happening a lot if ever.

From Cancelled Games to Closed Studios, There’s a Trail of Carnage in the Wake of Microsoft’s Layoffs

It's been a blood bath in the entire gaming industry over the last two years. It's not surprising Microsoft is reacting this way. The more surprising bit is that they waited so long to do so. The problem is that publishers are expecting 2020 revenue streams for games with 2016 politics shoe...

    Mouse recommendations without the bloatware

You know you can usually set things up how you like, save to the local memory on the mouse and then uninstall the software if you like? I'm running a G502X and I don't have the software installed at all.
