Microsoft to Force Install Copilot on 365 App Users, Whether They Want It or Not, Beginning in October

It just appeared one day in 365 both offline and online. Recently too, meaning sometime in the past 1-2 weeks. TBH I haven't run it once before uninstalling it. The app version at least, you can't uninstall it from the browser version. There might be a loophole that allows them to install it...

Microsoft to Force Install Copilot on 365 App Users, Whether They Want It or Not, Beginning in October

October? It's already installed without my consent. And I'm in the EU. Or did they mean the rollout excludes the EEA because it's already done here?

Hollow Knight: Silksong Managed to Crash Multiple Storefronts on Launch Day Due to Overwhelming Sales

I bet there are actual executives in the gaming industry thinking that.

Samsung Launches 9100 PRO Series 8 TB SSD for $999.99 Without Heatsink, $1,019.99 With

I thought the larger the drive the better it handles abuse due to wear leveling. Meaning you basically have to abuse a 8TB drive 2x as much as a 4TB to have the same amount of wear.

NVIDIA App features continue to grow and could soon eclipse Control Panel

"Our bloatware app now has almost half the useful features of the old no-nonsense streamlined app" - nvidia

New Starfield Story DLC Confirmed by Developer Along with More Updates and Features

This always happens to me with bethesda games, when they come out, I enjoy them, put 100 hours in them. But by the time the expansions come out, I'm like: Nah, I'm good, can't be bothered to re-learn the mechanics and get back into the grind. Same happened with Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout3,4, and...

Unreal Engine 5.2 Introduces Procedural Content Generation for Fast Creation of Large Game Worlds

Nanite is a deliberate trade-off on performance for ease of use. Ironically their Unreal Engine business model is the same as the Epic games store one: Disregard player interests and try to win over devs through means that are outright bad for consumers of games.

Unreal Engine 5.2 Introduces Procedural Content Generation for Fast Creation of Large Game Worlds

BS. UE5 games don't run smooth on hiend hardware either, not just "certain PCs"

    Forum Change?

Is there a way to make the showing of avatars optional? I think they make the forum look like a cluttered mess. It's OK inside threads, but they are really bothering me on the main forum page and threads lists.

From Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to Battlefield 6, More Online Games Are Requiring Hardware Security Measures to Prevent Cheating

Funny how there were no cheaters when the community used to run their own servers. Cheaters were weeded out. But of course the corporation wants central control. So this is really their own **** fault.

Graphics Tech startup from the 90s

Yeah, the Matrox Parhelia if I remember the name correctly. Everyone was excited for it, but then it was either a dud or never even released, I don't remember which.

Graphics Tech startup from the 90s

S3 had some decent attempts with the Savage3D and later Savage4 and maybe Savage2000 models.

NVIDIA News Roundup: N1X PC CPU Specs Leaked in New Benchmarks, RTX 50 SUPER Series with Increased VRAM Rumored To Launch by End of Year

I was hoping for 32GB on the higher end. 24GB is only 50% more than what I already have. Member when we used to double or even quadrulpe the RAM / VRAM in a single year with one upgrade?

Fatekeeper Is a First-Person RPG Coming to Early Access This Winter, and One of Many Titles Covered During THQ Nordic Showcase 2025

Not sure about it being early access. I don't want to play a half finished game, especially not if every update resets progression.

Hideo Kojima Feels That Too Many Games Look Alike These Days and Wants to Be the First to Make Games in Space

He just makes things different for the sake of being different not for the sake of being better. I'll take a proven formula over kojima's any day. Death Stranding could've been good if it had proven mechanics instead of "Oh, I'm so edgy and unique". He is the modern artist equivalent of...

The More You Buy, the More You Enjoy, as Ubisoft Claims That Microtransactions Allow Players to Have More Fun

They would do that if their intent was indeed for most people to enjoy their games. But it's clearly not. They know they can sell 1000 $100 skins to whales but not sure if they can 100.000 1$ skins to normal people.

The More You Buy, the More You Enjoy, as Ubisoft Claims That Microtransactions Allow Players to Have More Fun

I usually end up wildly underestimating my spending on my hobbies when I think I'm highballing it :D

The More You Buy, the More You Enjoy, as Ubisoft Claims That Microtransactions Allow Players to Have More Fun

For Ubisoft it's actually: " The more you buy, the less obstacles we roll in front of your enjoyment" I have no problem with microtransactions that provide new content (a new skin is not new content).
