Custom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090/5080 Pricing Revealed by U.S. Retailers, Including ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 OC Edition for $2,799.99

Imagine paying $3000 for 20% additional performance. I'd not switch if it cost me $300.

SilverStone Revives a Classic with the FLP01, a Retro-Inspired HTPC Chassis That Takes Cues from a 1982 Japanese PC

They should offer a regular version too. The retro theme is cool, but how many people actually want a beige case in 2025? A black edition with non-retro front panel would pay for the tooling costs much better, and maybe then it could have a competitive price.

GameTechBench Is a New High-Performance Benchmark Powered by Unreal Engine 5 for Measuring GPU Performance in Real-World Gaming Scenarios and Offli...

Demo is restricted to 1080p, and it looks absolutely awful, like its running in 320x200. Plus it runs with vsync on, so not really selling me on this "cutting edge" claim. Seems like an asset flip to me, but the experts will probably know more if it is at least any good as a benchmark.

Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

The previous games had no microtransactions, that's a larger revenue source than just the game price. They probably would but over tons of work tons of revenue, they chose zero work, lots of revenue. Besides COD is not an open world massive game like GTA, you can make a "new" COD every other...

Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

I honestly have no idea what people like about nintendo. Is it their lame, childish games, or their sub-par console hardware, or their famous fan hating lawsuits that endears them to people? But even nintendo couldn't get away with some things, like charging royalties for let's play videos.

Over 80% of Players on GeForce RTX GPUs Activate DLSS for Boosting Performance in Games, NVIDIA Reveals

Believe you me, it's not out of preference but necessity. nVidia hand in hand with Epic are ruining game optimization, and we get games that look worse or at least no better than 6-8 year old titles but require upscaling even on the latest HW to get acceptable frame rates.

Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

That just proves my point. Name won't save your game if you cross the players. And I think charging $100 for a game ticks that box. Not to mention the rumblings about GTA going politically correct with VI.

Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

I'm not so sure about the "it's GTA, it can get away with anything!" sentiment. A few months ago we thought Dragon Age can get away with anything, and now it is projected to have 3 million lifetime sales. I hope I don't have to elaborate on how abysmal that is. COD is also loosing players, just...

Take-Two Should Price GTA VI at “$80, or Even $100” to Help the Game Industry Rebound in 2025, Analyst Says

I think subscription services are damaging to the industry. But investors love them because it is a calculable stable income. You are not dependent on the failure / success of individual games. But this also means individual games become just "content" and success or failure is no longer a...

Yeah, that will surely turn around the trend of games not selling.

What is even a well optimized UE game, since Epic is adding features that actively hamper optimization. There is zero chance that any mods will work. Completely rebuilt game on a new engine, I'm not even sure they are not going to lock down modding. Suicidal move sure, but we've seen companies...

No, please just not the unreal engine, please! I don't want a stuttering mess that produces 27 fps on a 5090 without fakery.

Wouldn't it be the exact job of sensibility consultants to avoid situations like this? Clearly the only sensibilities they care or know about are their own.

No, I point out that you always played a native of the land. And before you say yeah but Valhalla actually takes place in England, the Viking raids on the British islands are well documented historical facts. It's not that one viking might or might not have passed through that one time, let's...

Yeah nothing like immersing yourself in Japanese history by becoming a giant bumbling black dude rampaging through Japan, whose only claim to being a historical figure turned out to be a fabrication by a fraud. In Origin you played as an Egyptian, in Odyssey you played as a Greek, in Valhalla...

Grand Theft Auto VI Will Make Over $3 Billion In Its First Year, Analysts Say: “Biggest Entertainment Launch of 2025”

Weird that you remember it that way. If anything Vice City was an updated GTA3, with not much in new features just a different map and slightly updated graphics. San Andreas added a ton, like the turf wars, modding cars, among many others.
