Apple's USB-C Charging cable that they provide with their phones, tablets, etc. is only wired for USB 2.0 Data connectivity... Mind boggling that they would ship a device that's USB-C capable, and a USB 2 data cable..

This thing is still PCIe 3. Why couldn't they make it a PCIe 4x1, giving it the same bandwidth and make those x1 slots on the motherboards usable!

Absolutely.. AMD did good on their promise of making AM4 last for 5+ years.. One reason why I have stuck with their CPU products of late. When the next generation of motherboards come out, is when I foresee my home system getting its much warranted upgrade.

They're encrypting the signals from the mouse buttons, and you need the subscription service to decrypt them. The HID Driver won't know it's a click or not.. ;)
