I dunno about the speakers in the article - other than they look interesting. But I have a set of Edifier desktop monitor speakers - and they sound pretty pretty good for the size and the cost.

Seems like if we learned anything from Prescott to Core it was — focus on efficiency, then scale that up for speed/power.

The answer there isn’t to boycott the Aquacool device. If anything we should all be supporting them for finding a need and providing that with a well designed product To achieve what you are after - you need to boycott the root of the problem: nVidia. And no one is talking about doing that...

Should, but it's not. I lost around 8 weeks when our company did this a couple of years ago. I didn't complain too loudly though - they compensate me well enough via other means.

I do not disagree with you, I think we are talking about the same thing - but I think that statement right there is exactly what I'm trying to describe. Why upgrade unless it serves a purpose?

The advice "just wait for XYZ" never changes - something better is always just around the corner. Just a matter of if it ends up being worth it. For most people, the answer is yes, it's almost always better to wait unless you are several generations behind and/or are having issues with most...

I'll just say EA has been fishing for a buyer for a long time. When you can't even get Microsoft to buy your studio... this is who you get.

I can't speak for the new AT folks, who all seem decent and I'm very glad they are here. But for the older FPS guys in the crosshairs here - I can absolutely vouch they are not fanboys of anything, other than chasing performance. And they will let you know in no uncertain terms which color...
