A Troubling Trend Is Growing as PC Hardware Manufacturers Cancel Orders Only to Repost the Same Product at a Higher Price

I don't remember, I move GPUs around a lot. I don't think any of my current fleet of GPUs are Zotac. Last time I can actually remember buying them was the first time I bought them. Which were the Nvidia 900 series cards. 970 and 980 Ti cards. I just remember being extremely impressed by how...

A Troubling Trend Is Growing as PC Hardware Manufacturers Cancel Orders Only to Repost the Same Product at a Higher Price

Meh, I've owned a few Zotac GPUs over the years and abused them far more than most of you ever will without any issues. I've also owned plenty of Gigabyte and Asus that have crapped the bed. Along with XFX, MSI and EVGA. Zotac is about the only company I've not had to deal with their RMA...

NVIDIA Shield Devices Continue to Get Support a Decade After Release from Passionate Engineers Who Helped Create Them

How many versions are there? I got two Nvidia Shields I use for streaming. I didn't get the controller for them as I can just use my Playstation controller if I wanted, but the remote controls all have regular AAA batteries. edit Oh I see. If you still use the shield then just buy a triangle...

AMD Could Be Prepping a Flagship Next-Gen GPU Featuring 96 Compute Units with Memory on a 512-Bit Bus

I never said they wouldn't. AMD also capitalized on their server market with Zen. They managed to do both. Wouldn't be far fetched to say they couldn't do a similar strategy with GPUs also. AFAIK, they're already making "AI Focused" GPUs for that market anyway.

AMD Could Be Prepping a Flagship Next-Gen GPU Featuring 96 Compute Units with Memory on a 512-Bit Bus

I could argue that Nvidia is taking the same path Intel is that lead them to falling behind. Intel catered to their enterprise/business/server market. Lots of higher core count CPUs, but for servers only while leaving the consume stuff at low core count like quad cores and what other things...

2026 7th Annual Folding Challenge (hosted by [H]ard|OCP)

Crap, one of the breakers tripped. Used some gorilla tape to hold it in place so it wont move. Seems to have worked. edit Tape didnt work. Had to use a wire coat hanger and some screws to keep it from flipping. Dont think I lost much production.

Buckle up! Things just went from bad to much, much worse

So the the computer started in huge institutions like Universities and Corporations, then landed in everyone's homes just to go back to their University and Corporations birthplace. Its like mankind. Start crawling, then learns to walk, then learns to run, then cant run and can only walk...

Folding@Home January TeAm record run 2026

Given your past issues with network connectivity and the F@H servers. I would probably test this before full deployment. It requires a constant connection to the server that handles this remote web control panel from each host its watching. I don't think it's sending much data, but an...
