Both AMD and nvidia (and intel for that matter) have thousands of patents that never come to anything. like for example 3dfx patents which only served for nvidia to stop its legal battle with 3dfx but never used them on any of their cards.

apple is the one that monopolizes pretty much every process node they use on TSMC, plus it's also reportedly going to use intel 18A process and also sources from Global Foundries for some of its NON-CPU needs.

AFAIK nvidia doesn't use global foundries at all. Heck I don't think they have 5nm manufacturing process yet.

I pity intel and Steam, this seems like the worst time to release new products. No way the SteamBox is now releasing at $700 or less.

Also missing was AMDs RDNA4 refresh and RDNA5, also no news regarding next gen xbox/ps6 No mention of nvidia's desktop SoC collaboration with mediatek. I was looking forward to this.

Unfortunately, it makes sense. Prices are surely skyrocketing soon thanks to memory shortages. This was the perfect window for the supers to be released if not for the current situation. We may not even see RTX60 series until late 27 at best.

not gonna happen, software wise, we already know DLSS4.5 takes a substantial hit on the RTX20,30 series. Hardware wise, could they implement RTX30 super duper with rtx 50 tensor cores for fake frames? sure, but why waste resources on a temporary solution when they can continue to sell RTX50...

I have a hard time believing the RTX50 super series could come at a later date. The memory debacle is not going to get better anytime soon, at least not in 2026

My god this keynote was boring as hell, it only shows how far behind is AMD vs nvidia. nvidia's keynote was no better, but at least they had some funny "bloopers" in the end.

so the windows install on my son's pc went kaput. I haven't been able to recover it. I was going to install windows 11 anyway so just I did that. I kept the old SSD, so everything my son needs is in the documents folder. Thing is I need a couple of cookies from the old install. Is there a way...

A few notes. outages during peak hours, when demand is high... haven't experienced outages myself, maybe I'm lucky. randomly assigned HW, you might get a 4080 if you're lucky or pay premium or get a 3060. nvidia gives you access to a range of GPUs from RTX 3050 (free tier) to RTX 5080...
