Stellar Blade Sets New All-Time Record for PlayStation Releases on PC with over 180,000 Concurrent Players

I just don't get it why some people are acting weird about it. As if it is somehow against the rules for games to make their women sexy. When up till the 2010s, that was the norm. The only difference is the graphics fidelity. I don't remember anyone outside of activists complaining about Miranda...

Stellar Blade Sets New All-Time Record for PlayStation Releases on PC with over 180,000 Concurrent Players

I've never seen any gratuitous crotch shots in the game, you have to deliberately manipulate the camera in a very specific way to achieve that, I assume. Do you think better looking female characters have no purpose beyond seeking out awkward upskirt camera angles?

Stellar Blade Sets New All-Time Record for PlayStation Releases on PC with over 180,000 Concurrent Players

The entire game world just 3d models with textures and shaders, IDK why would you draw the line at characters. That's what I thought as well, the parry and dodge implementation is really underwhelming. I saw no difference animation wise between a successful parry and a failed one. Combat is not...

Stellar Blade Sets New All-Time Record for PlayStation Releases on PC with over 180,000 Concurrent Players

I've tried the demo, it's a pretty generic hack and slash game. It really only stands out due to the whole waifu dressup angle. But it's clearly enough to impress tons of people. I personally would like a bit more depth gameplay and storytelling wise. I didn't even finish the demo, because it...

GOG Mod Aims to Make It as Easy as a Single Click to Install Mods for Classic Games

So I checked it out,, these are individual mods, not random mod packages. They are curated and only a few are available now.

Cyberpunk 2077 News Roundup: More DLC Could Be Forthcoming, Switch 2 Ultimate Edition Reviews, Sequel Updates, and More

It seems to me like they are vetting their subcontractor. First give them a major but non-story update to make, and now the final test a fully featured mission with new VA lines and story.

Unreal Engine 5.6 Makes Its Debut with New Footage from the Witcher IV Tech Demo, Showcasing Improved 60 FPS Ray Traced Global Illumination

That's a myth, you can't seriously believe that you can increase poly count ad infinitum with no consequences. Polygon topology very much matters and affects a ton of other things like lighting and texturing as well. And that is exactly what nanite is doing, adding a ton of complexity to...

Unreal Engine 5.6 Makes Its Debut with New Footage from the Witcher IV Tech Demo, Showcasing Improved 60 FPS Ray Traced Global Illumination

What if I hope against it? I mean UE has been cranking up polygon count and detail in places where it matters very little for the image quality. Or the same or better result could be achieved on a lesser computation budget by optimizing. UE's approach is brute force and use tricks to make up for...

Unreal Engine 5.6 Makes Its Debut with New Footage from the Witcher IV Tech Demo, Showcasing Improved 60 FPS Ray Traced Global Illumination

Why do they insist on making life difficult for themselves? Many are already dunking on them for this disclaimer, and rightly so. The majority of viewers will never read the disclaimer and will feel like they were mislead when the gameplay is nothing like this. If it's not representative of...

Meet the Hyte X50 Case, A Case With So Much Potential that Hyte Left Other New Products Behind

Yeah, about that. I never thought bottom mounting the psu then routing the 24 pin and CPU power connectors halfway across the country was a good idea. The only argument for putting it on the bottom was so it can suck air from under the case. Which is a solution to a non-problem, as overheating...

Meet the Hyte X50 Case, A Case With So Much Potential that Hyte Left Other New Products Behind

You're not catching me out, I read the article :D The air variant is supposedly mesh, unless it's very dense (wouldn't be much of an "air" then) it is still see-through, not solid.

Meet the Hyte X50 Case, A Case With So Much Potential that Hyte Left Other New Products Behind

Looks like a coca cola vending machine from the 50s, made by bethesda's merch department. (ie looks awfully cheap and plastic-y) I think it would actually look significantly better if the curved side was solid red and not a window.

SilverStone Debuts a Retro Tower Case and an IceMyst PRO line of AIO Coolers

I'm pretty sure turbo mode was only meant to be disabled for compatibility with older software tied to CPU clock rate.

Single-Player Gaming Is Back as DOOM: The Dark Ages Hits a Major Milestone to Become Id Software’s Biggest Launch Ever

TBF $70 is a steep price for any game, not just this one. I haven't purchased a game at that price yet, except for ultimate / collectors editions that came with a season pass.

Single-Player Gaming Is Back as DOOM: The Dark Ages Hits a Major Milestone to Become Id Software’s Biggest Launch Ever

I had games pass three times, twice for free and once for like $1 / month in promotions. And I already observed it interfering with my gaming habits. I've tried a bunch of games to not "let it go to waste" so basically, it made me waste my time on games I'd not otherwise poke with a stick. And...

Single-Player Gaming Is Back as DOOM: The Dark Ages Hits a Major Milestone to Become Id Software’s Biggest Launch Ever

Games pass is the eternal excuse to those who refuse to accept that a game is a flop. If I had a tin foil hat I'd say the only reason they keep around games pass is so they can spin flops as successes to investors. And I hate it that people are fooled by this tactic. However I don't believe...

Single-Player Gaming Is Back as DOOM: The Dark Ages Hits a Major Milestone to Become Id Software’s Biggest Launch Ever

Corporate spin, it's their first doom game to be on games pass. Players tried it does not equal players who paid for it. It produces a third of the players on steam compared to eternal. If their plan was to cut into their own profits by a desperate attempt at promoting their subscription, then...
